"That's rich, coming from someone who hides behind magic, like it's any different. You have your strengths, and I have mine. If you're allowed to use that, then I am allowed to use them."
"Ah, whatever," Marcus muttered. If he could avoid fighting Zellos, then he would. Not only did it make little sense to have such an important battle this early on in the war for Merthin, but the Talons were the priority, not him.
Marcus looked to the side and spoke to Bran. "If my memory serves me well, the things on the ground are impervious to magical damage. So, there's no way around fighting them physically to free the Talons."
"Wait, seriously?" Bran asked in surprise. "Are we even able to win by doing that?"
"As long as the Talons are as strong as they're said to be, I'll have no problem."
