Many of the issues that plagued the suits of Merthin were solved when the manned suits came in to use, replacing the automated suits they had used before.
The manned suits worked with the same principle as the automated suits, but their implementation was far different.
It all began with the assembly of the suit. The different parts of the suit, such as the various limbs, were assembled from the valued metal found in places such as the cliffs. Once this was done, they were imbued with a specific element, before being assembled together in a full suit. This often meant that these manned suits could use different elements, even those that the people that manned them did not natively have access to. A small cockpit, carved out of the torso of the suit, allowed enough space for a single person to occupy, granting them full control over the suit.
