**Erick's POV**
While Doc did put our request out in the open I still felt it was prudent to cover our basis and kept someone on the lookout for Abigail's family. I was becoming increasingly frustrated. It had only been a few hours, but our clock was ticking.
I think I had nearly paced a hole in the floor of my office when one of our patrols reported a stranger at the territories border. He was requesting an audience with the Alpha in charge. I told them to keep him well guarded and to bring him to my office.
I called Rhian, Doc, and Alec to meet the man with me. Typically, I would have Samuel here but I wasn't sure I could trust his emotional state at this moment. Besides, he belonged at David's side in case there were any changes.
