When grandma heard a ding dong at the door, she thought it was the coffee logistics she ordered earlier on, only to see Meyer's panicking face when she opened the door.
"What is Lucifer doing in heaven's party?" she asked.
Meyers snorted and rolled her eyes at the floor. A hush quietness hung over her gaze and her jaw hooked in humility as her head bowed.
"Have you come to dig up history of my HIV status, eh?" grandma barked.
"Apologies, grandma," Meyer said, looking very detached.
"Keep your damn apologies to your damn ass. You can't freshen up hell's burnt pizza. After you made me survive by artificial oxygen for months, you want me to accept your apologies?"
