Zero suddenly felt his body get tired as if he had been running at a dead sprint for the last minute. 'There is backlash?' With that thought, Zero took the dagger from his pocket before slamming it into the creature's eye. Once more Zero was shocked to find the impact of the knife lifted the Qwulvis off its feet and was slowly floating backward.
Zero dismissed what was happening and quickly rushed towards each of the Qwulvis in the surrounding area. Zero tried to use his abilities, however, as soon as they appeared, they would instantly slow, as if they were stuck in time in the same way as the creatures. As Zero had finished stabbing every one of the creatures on the first floor, he suddenly dropped to one knee exhausted.
Zero had been resting while kneeling for a good minute when he once again heard the sound of a Qwulvis shooting its tongue out. Zero stood, the pressure on his body was now similar to if he was carrying double his original weight with every step. Zero steeled his resolve before racing towards the stairs, taking them two at a time before reaching the second floor.
Zero had switched from stabbing in the eye to stabbing them in the heart, as his dagger was long enough to reach it and the pathing was unobstructed if his constant dissection of the creature was any insight. Zero was about to stab the last visible creature on the third floor, when the weight he was feeling suddenly doubled, causing him to momentarily lose his footing and fall to his knees. 'More!' Zero stood, gritting his teeth as he pushed against the pressure before he started running toward the creature, only to have to walk as the pressure became too much to run.
Zero reached the creature and wound back, needing to use twisting momentum to fuel the force behind the knife's attack. The dagger slid into the Qwulvis, the creature only slightly floating up and backward. 'It looks like this is my limit.' Zero turned before shuffling as fast as he could towards the basement stairs. Zero made it to the basement stairs and thought he was going to make it when the pressure on his body suddenly doubled once more, and Zero could have sworn he heard a snap.
Zero started falling, something he realized, and quickly leaned forward so he would fall towards the door. He knew falling down the stairs wasn't the smarter choice, however, he just needed to get to a safe place for whatever was about to happen. Zero tumbled down the stairs, hitting his temple against one of the edges of the steps as he fell.
With a groan and the taste of blood, Zero slowly pulled himself towards the door. When he finally reached it, Zero willed himself to move through it. Zero didn't know how long he had taken to crawl through the door, however, he knew it had to be more than a minute. Once he was on the other side of the door, Zero willed everything to deactivate. To Zero's instant relief, the weight crushing down on his body was suddenly sapped away. Zero watched as black steam rose from his body before disappearing into the air.
As Zero tried to move once more, he received a Window.

The Host's right leg has been damaged. Would the Host like to use <10> souls to repair the damage?
(Yes) (No)
-Notice-
All of the Host's muscles have been damaged. Would the Host like to use <1400> souls to repair the damage?
(Yes) (No)
Zero clicked yes to both before closing his eyes and passing out. Zero opened his eyes to a window notification.
-Notice-
The Host currently has <35533> souls.
-Notice-
The Host's injuries have been healed.
Zero sat up with a sigh before thinking about the new ability he had just used. 'It used my Mana channels, but it applied the effect to my body instead of outside my body. It was as if time slowed down... No, more than that, it was like I had become faster. Window, what was that black steam that left my body?'
-Notice-
Mana left the Host's body. Due to the characteristics of the Host's Mana, the Mana was a dark black color.
Zero nodded as the information was useful. 'So it did apply the Mana to my body, and I am guessing my body couldn't handle the Mana any longer, not to mention the strain on my body moving that fast was putting on it. It's an extremally useful ability, however, the backlash is harsh if I don't expel the Mana quickly enough.' Zero thought about what he should call the ability.
'Everything has been modeled around the Death Beam, so... Death's Acceleration?' Zero waited as if expecting someone to agree or disagree. When he realized no one was going to answer, he decided to simply call it that. Zero rolled to his stomach, hearing a suction noise before it stopped. Zero jumped to his feet and back, as the noise had come from directly below him.
After standing alert for over five minutes and still nothing showed itself, Zero relaxed in confusion. Zero shrugged it off before feeling his Mana Channels, finding they had regenerated by half. 'Should we try Death's Acceleration in moderation this time?' Zero walked through the metal door with his dagger at the ready, only to find an empty hallway. Confused, Zero moved up the stairs and into the blood bath that was on the first floor.
Zero hadn't realized it as he came back down, as he was in so much pain, however, the bodies he had stabbed were now near paste on the walls. 'I knew they went flying, but for my strikes to have this kind of force without putting much effort into them, I wonder how much I could do if I truly tried.'
Zero heard the sound of a tongue being fired and looked up to find the third floor showing a Qwulvis staring at him. With excitement, Zero activated
