Renee Landry glanced at Blake Fuller from the corner of her eye, her pupils still filled with obvious fear, and she looked away, swallowing her saliva.
"Miss Edwin, um... can we go somewhere more secluded? I have something I want to say to you privately."
"Alright."
Caroline Edwin nodded and gestured to Blake Fuller before leading Renee into a deserted alleyway.
As he watched them leave, a dark and unfathomable gaze filled his eyes beneath his glasses.
He went to a nearby shop and scanned a QR code to buy a bottle of mineral water, unscrewing the cap with his well-defined hands and taking a few sips to moisten his throat.
Blake Fuller stood under a tree with withered leaves, silently waiting for her to return.
Meanwhile, Caroline Edwin led Renee into a dimly lit alley, occasionally crossed by prowling cats.
She took off her mask and stuffed it into her pocket, yawning lazily with a hand covering her mouth, drowsy and somewhat fatigued.
"What do you want to talk about?"
