Chapter 2 - This is not Kevin. This is about a boy with a below average face that got isekai'd before he knew anything about isekais.

POV of a high school boy

A few years back, people were paranoid of the apocalypse. Many scams appeared announcing the end of the world. Many got fooled and some were uncaring, the few earned money. I was one of the idiots. I thought the end was coming so I ran to my cousin's house to warn them. I don't know what went to my head that I thought of doing that. Maybe I was just excited (not the fun kind) and just wanted to tell someone that would believe me. Obviously, my parents wouldn't. They are not idiots. All adults would only laugh at me... or not, since many adults did believe the bogus apocalypse announcements. As I arrived on my cousin's house, something happened.

Maybe the world did end that day. All I remember of that time was a blinding flash. I felt that I was absorbed? or sucked in. All I could say was I disappeared on Earth. I woke up on a cold floor. I felt that my body seemed strange even though it looks the same. My clothes are the same, but they were kinda tough? Or the wooden boxes of the grumpy merchant was just weak and soft. I fell from a high place and landed on a few crates. I was scolded and bossed around the whole day.

I slept at the boss' tent. It was a cold night. I was glad that the grumpy merchant aka boss lend me a sleeping bag and a space. I did not dream that night.

The next day, I woke up early. I recalled the things I did at boss' stall and I thought I should continue it. I was guilty at taking away his profits. Also, I was hoping he would hire me. I remember my father's words, "Son, in case you get lost, find a job first. You would need money. You always get yourself in trouble and it worries me". Heh, if my pops saw me, would he be proud?

Unfortunately, boss does not have enough money to hire a helper. Fortunately, boss have connections and felt that I could work at a good store. Unfortunately, I was hired at a store with a strict manager. Fortunately, it was a store with a lot of women. It is a dress store. All I had to do was talk outside and convince the passersby to check out our products.

If you think I have a talent for sales, you're wrong. I just annoyed most of the customers in. Then, it was the job of the people inside to make them satisfied. We had good teamwork. The customers left with bright faces and purchases. In fact, one of the customers gave me a good advice. I just have to say, "the dresses inside are gorgeous just like the staff". For some reason though, the customers did not sound convinced when I told them, but believed the person that gave me the advice. Huh. Wait, was it my face!? Oh well.

My time at the store was not long. When a white-haired customer got pulled in by me, I also got pulled in a huge mess. Did I regret it? I don't know. I'm not happy with it, but I'd still go through it again. If not, my friend would have been dead.
