Melody aka Li Biyu gracefully rose from her seat with a heartwarming smile. All the screens zoomed on her captivating smile.
"Congratulations" Bai Xiao cheered from her side. A wide grin was plastered on her face. She was happy for her best friend's success. Smiling back to her, Li Biyu sauntered to the stage in her long golden colored mermaid gown accentuating her hourglass figure. Her hazelnut colored eyes were sparkling with joy adding an alluring charm to her palm sized face. Her brown locks running through her back were moving along with every movement. She resembled a queen making way to the royal court. She was epitome of success and beauty.
She accepted the trophy and raised it to her fans. She was standing at the center of stage with all the lights shining on her. The scene before everyone watching was so surreal. Almost everyone below the stage were whispering to one another praising Li Biyu. After all there was a reason she was called Goddess Melody, a peerless voice. She was a classic case of rise of phoenix from ashes. Her success story was quite remarkable.
"Good evening everyone. I would like to thank all the people in my life, who supported me, believed me and encouraged me to fulfil my dream and those who abandoned me, mocked me or hated me because that's what kept me going, trying harder every day. Thanks to all the people in my life I reached where I am. Today I promise everyone I will keep doing my best. Thankyou everyone."
Loud shouts and applauses erupted as she ended her speech. It took a while for the MC to control the crowd. Meanwhile, comments were flowing in continuously on the live streaming platforms. The commenters were divided into two groups, fans and anti-fans of Li Biyu.

Just like that another online war erupted among the fans. It wasn't new for Li Biyu's fans. Before many anti-fans like them had tried to smear her name. But who were her fans? Just like their goddess they were not to be stifled. Over only two years Li Biyu has garnered her loyal fans. One was of the main reasons for her huge fandom was that she frequently communicated with her fans amicably.
Back in the award ceremony, Li Biyu made her way back to her seat. She glanced at Bai Xiao who was smiling proudly as a mother who was proud of her child. Warmth filled her cold heart.
"Are you that happy?" she smiled back at her best friend who was always there for her.
"Hmm… I am so happy for you. Let's celebrate tonight… you can't say no."
"Okay. Let's have a dinner together."
"Drinks too" making a cute puppy face bai Xiao swayed li Biyu arm in affectionate manner.
"Fine. But firstly, you have to promise me to drink less." It was always good to be safe than sorry. As they both were in entertainment industry there were way too many rivals waiting to sabotage their careers.
"Okay. okay. I promise I will not drink too much" joy and bliss were evident on her face.
After an hour the award ceremony came to end. Guests were leaving. There were various famous celebrities giving out interviews to the paparazzi. But both Li Biyu and Bai Xiao were not interested in these interviews. They were more eager to go out for their dinner date. They planned to first change at Li Biyu's apartment and then go out to avoid paparazzi.
It was almost 10 pm when they changed to normal clothes. Bai Xiao paired white turtleneck sweater with high waisted black leather skirt. Li Biyu wore her black high neck with checkered skirt. Overall, both of them were looking beautiful.
Bai Xiao drove her white Audi RS7 to their favorite restaurant. It was a highly rated restaurant and the food was said to be delicious. Dinner ended in almost an hour. As per their promise they headed to their next destination The Blue Moon club. It was another high-class club where two thirds of the rich frequently come during the weekend. Moreover, it was known for its high end security so it was much safer.
Bai Xiao carefully parked her car in the fully packed parking lot. Although it was fairly expected but the crowd still shocked both the girls. Li Biyu was contemplating to cancel the drinking part and go back to her apartment.
"Don't even think about it. I know that look. I am not going to call off partying. Today we will celebrate your success and I will keep my promise and not get plastered." Bai Xiao did not give her ample time to react and tugged her inside the club.
Loud music was playing. People were dancing more like grinding to one another. The crowd was hammered. They made their way to the second floor cutting through the crowd and managed to find a table near the side. Looking down they could see people dancing on the music. Being a heavy drinker Bai Xiao ordered tequila shots for herself and Virgin Mary for Li Biyu as she was not very fond of alcohol. The mood was somewhat upbeat.
Bai Xiao could feel the alcohol kicking in so she took off for the first floor along with Li Biyu. They both were dancing enjoying their time when Li Biyu felt someone touching her indecently from behind. She immediately turned around to confront when she saw a middle-aged man with a hideous smile plastered on his face. As the area was crowded there was little space between Li Biyu and that man. Li Biyu could smell strong stench of alcohol coming from the man. She glared at the man.
"Excuse me, can you keep your distance"
"Sorry, it was the crowd and I got pushed." The man grinned and took a step back to create space between then.
Li Biyu turned back and joined Bai Xiao to dance. After a few minutes Li Biyu felt someone groping her bottom. She scowled and stomped her heels on the man's feet and turned around to see the culprit. Her temper flared to see the same man form earlier. She glared at the man and left the dance floor. She moved towards the restrooms. After washing her hands, she exited the restroom. As the restroom was located on the other side of the hallway, it was pretty empty. As she walked towards the hallway suddenly, she was pulled back from her behind. Before she could say a thing, her mouth was blocked by a hand.
