Just another normal day, yet today, she's taken even bigger stride. Faster. Her grins draw a creep. She's mumbling a little something vigorously. Add up her messy medium-length hair, she lost her natural beauty. Along the road people keep avoiding her, and some whispering. But, none all that she cares.
"He's home!" A sudden burst startled everyone. She is crazy, that's the gazes she get. Then she started singing, with a little dancing, through the walkway. "He is home..! He is home... He is home.... Hahaha... Hooray...!" The scorned eyes keep piercing, but never bother her.
She's arrived at her front door. Her smile getting even bigger, summed with her uncontrol laugh. A sight of mental illness. The door opened from the inside. She's getting excited. But, betrayed by her expectation, it was her father. Behind him was her mother.
"Hana..."
"Where is he?"
"Don' t you want to come inside first?"
"Did you kicked him out?" Her voice arise.
"No, Hana. He was in hurry because of his assignment. But, he promise to come back when he is on semester break." Her mother's words seem to be effective. Hana silently watch her parents.
"Aren't you come in, Hana?" Once again, her father persuaded her.
"It's going to rain. You don't want to start having illness, right?" Like before, her mother knows how to coax her. Hana walk her way into the house. Her parents make a way for her, but she's ignored it and straight to her room.
"All for nothing." She's grunt.
Her parents look at each other. Their faces tell each other what they think. Her father heave a sigh. Her mother slowly touch her husband's shoulder, "Dear.." Her husband look at her, "Should we take her to psychiatrists?" She's almost buggle her eyes.
"What are you talking about? Are you trying to say Hana is crazy?"
Her husband sighing again.
"No. What I mean is..."
"No!"
"Dear..."
"I said No! What do you think to her future if people brand her as crazy?!She will better if we take care of her good enough!"
"But.."
"I don't care what you thinking, but, no!" Before her husband can utter any word, she walk away, leaving him speechless. And once again, he blows a big sigh.
After a bath, Hana sit quietly on her bed. Her earlier happy mood swoon over. All irrational thought swarming her head. Her rage coming from nowhere, but she still stay in her place.
"I knew it. Mom and dad doesn't approve us." She make her own assumption. Just the sight of her right now, would make even a guy tremble in fear.
"What should I do? What should I do?" Her hands crumple the bed sheet strongly. Suddenly she's enlighten by herself.
"I should go see him. I should tell him I won't care opposition from mom and dad. I should tell, we can be together. Hehe." She's lying on her bed.
"Together forever... Hehe..."
"Knock..knock..Hana,dinner." Hana turn her face abruptly toward door. Her face turn sour.
"I don't want it."
Her mother taken aback. Hana's rising voice is quite common, but she still hurt.
"Then, if you are hungry later," she take a deep breath, "dinner is in the fridge." She wait for a minute, then leave.
"Where is she?" Ask Hana's father, when his wife reaching the table alone. She just shake her head, slowly. He's sighing.
"Did you see her, or does she answer from inside?"
His wife silent. Her face tell the answer. She swallow her first bite, but, it doesn't seem she was eating at all. He sighed again. Seconds later, he lock eyes on his wife, trying to out the words from his throat. Yet, she didn't even notice. Taking a bite by bite, sometimes, stop. Seems like she had teary eyes.
"Dear..."
It's true. She lost in her sorrow.
"Dear..."
Still no answer.
"Dear..."
He sighing. Softly, he touch his wife's hand, "Dear..." She's startled. She lift her head, faced her husband.
"Do you need assistant?"
"Why?"
"We still need to attend the company, once a while. I want to take a look any urgent matter that in need of my attention. Maybe it will take some time. You will alone here, will you be alright?"
"There is problem, right?" She locked her gaze toward her husband. Her husband smiling. Faintly.
"I can never hide from you."
He take a little breath. "There is a problem. But, for now, it is not too urgent for both of us to be there..." He silent a moment before continue, "Just don't worry about it. I can handle. You can focus on Hana." He grasp her hand firmly.
"Okay." That's the only answer she can give.
"I don't need assistant. A housekeeper would be alright. Not a live in one."
Her husband nodded. "I understand."
