Chapter 1 - Ch. 1: Another One?

-Planet Earth, Japan, City of Tokyo, year 2026 AD, May 21st.

A teenager could be seen walking down the street with a special bag for the purpose to carry archery equipment.

That teenager was me, I am 17 as of this year and was on the way to an archery club that I signed up about 10 years ago.

Even though I live in Japan right now, I had moved here from Russia when I was about six. I do not have any siblings and my parents died in a train accident after they left me with a babysitter at home when I was about 12 years of age.

Yeah.. a train accident.. Ther is a one in a 243756 chance to get into such an accident, and they lost their lives in such a small percentage to actually die.

I wasn't sent back to Russia since there weren't any relatives who are still alive since my parents didn't have any siblings or cousins either..

My so called babysitter even adopted me because she had came to cherish me as her own grandson.

I had also inherited some wealth from my parents, which was not a lot since they couldn't be exactly called rich. All the wealth was spent on my education and needs. The Lady wasn't greedy like all humans are portrayed to be and did not steal any of the wealth from my parents, whatever she needed she bought with her own money earned from babysitting.

Today after school I had returned home to change, eat, do my homework and go out again to my club activities, which were, as you already know, to train my archery skills.

I participated in many Archery tournaments with different kinds of bows, there was once even a tournament with crossbows which I just felt the need to participate to, even though it was something like a gun and you didn't need to strain yourself to pull the string, the targets were moving even faster than normally and each target were further than normal.

I won many gold medals and trophies, and only in the very beginning, when I started with archery training, had I ever missed the target I shot at.

Anyways, I was on the way to the club when I felt a vibration in my pocket. It was a notification, or more specifically, my crush texted me.

She was also in the Archery Club and asked me when will I come since I was already a bit late due to the amount of homework I had to do...

While going to the other side of the street, I quickly texted that I will be there in about 5 minutes or so.

Just as I was about to click send I turned my head to the side and saw a panicked face trying to stop his vehicle.

I did not have time to react as the vehicle, which funnily enough was a truck, crashed into me and sent me flying.

The last thing I saw was my thumb clicking send on the phone in my hand. Because of my strong grip, the phone did not fly out of my hand... but what's the point if I was about to die.

I closed my eyes thinking of how my bloodline will never be carried on and cursed myself because of it, I ended up in a similar situation as my parents.. But the thing is, my parents died and they could do nothing prior to the train accident to prevent their death, while I... I wasn't attentive enough and died a meaningless death without even telling my crush my feeling for her... would she even miss me?.. even if she would, she would probably forget about me in a few months of time... sigh, but what about that lady... she was so nice, she always cared about me even though we had no blood bonds... we weren't even of the same race..

Well I guess this is the End of me.

"Huh? Another one? How many of you are there? Goodness gracious..." Somebody with a female voice sighed.

I carefully opened my eyes and saw a naked woman's body, but her head was nowhere to be seen, or rather I couldn't see it because of the light that was shining right from where the head was supposed to be at. It was as if she was an angel.. or even a goddess.

"What.. what do you mean another one?" I asked confused.

"Oh, you can hear me?..." She appeared to be a bit surprised, "What I mean is that there were just too many souls sent to me to reincarnate these days.." She didn't hide anything and just told me what she meant.

"Reincarnate?" I asked

"Yes, reincarnate, you do understand that you are dead right?" She questioned me as if I were a dumbass.

"Yeah... I was hit by a ... truck" I was embarrassed by the fact.

"This happens way too often.. being hit by a .. truck just to reincarnate as someone who later on becomes an unparalleled existence even mightier than gods..." She complained to me, sighing over and over again, "One was an interesting one though.. he got stabbed by thug and before death asked his friend to delete his search history HAHAHA" She laughed at her heart's content.

"..." I just listened since I didn't have anything better to do... due to the fact that I am very much dead as of now..

"Anyways it was... strange to talk to a mortal soul, but now I guess you have to go and reincarnate since your soul is worthy enough.. Maybe we will see each other sometime later.. who knows, good luck mortal soul" She waved me goodbye as I, or whatever was left of me, was dragged into some kind of vortex in which I fell downwards and my consciousness shut down.

(Authors Note: This is my second novel and I will try to not make the same minor mistakes as in my last one. If you would like to check out my first novel, feel free to do so it's called "Core System" and the first 30 chapters are just information dumps with some action and training but please bear with it. Anyways I am looking forward to this novel, I hope you stay and see what comes out of it.)
