Calvin POV
She fell asleep in my arms. "What are we going to do with her?" Liam asked. I stood up with Lily in my arms and I carried her out of the cells. "Well, we cannot let her leave until she is fully healed. I want either one of us to keep an eye on her. I also want to know more about the Dark claw pack and about any female assassins." I said.
I took Lily up to an empty room and laid her down on the bed. I covered her up and she looked so innocent sleeping. I ended up sitting on a chair by the window looking outside. It was only one in the afternoon. After a couple of hours she was still sleeping and I got worried.
I mindlinked the doctor to check her out. There was a knock on the door and I got up and answered it. There was the pack doctor and Liam. They came in and the doctor looked over Lily and Liam handed me a folder. The doctor finished and said, "She has been through a lot. She needs to rest and get on a normal diet. She is putting too much stress on her wolf to cover herself." I just nodded and then the doctor left.
"Like she will ever let her guard down. Especially after what she has been through. I'm surprised that she got away with her life. After reading over some information that I found, it's just sad. She was only ten years old when her parents died. It is said in that folder that she did not shift when they abused her. She ran away when she was fourteen years old. Now I looked through every pack records to see if a girl was treated that wasn't part of their pack. I found one pack that found a girl about fourteen almost dead on their territory. It says that she was with them for a couple of months. Then she shifted and found someone to train her to become an assassin. She turned into a killer because she got told by the beta of the pack that helped her to not kill herself, but help kill others." Liam said.
"I did try to committ suicide. I thought that was the only thing that would have gotten me out of my misery. My life was horrible, but it got worse. When I escaped some of the scouts attacked me, but the Royal pack made them leave. That's when they took me and helped me. They helped me through my first shift and showed me how to fight. The beta and alpha treated me like their sister. Right before I left the pack that's when the beta gave me an address for someone to help me train." While she was talking she was grunting in pain.
"The doctor said that you should let your walls down. He said that your putting to much stress on your wolf." I restated what the doctor told us. "She's not the one that puts them up. I do to protect her. She is my human. I had to watch everything that she endured. They gave her small amounts of wolfsbane to make sure she couldn't shift early. But after she shifted I started learn how to mask everything to ensure safety to both of us." Lily's wolf said.
She looked like she was in more pain. "Is there anything we can help with?" Liam asked. "Yes, get a better doctor. Bring me a couple of towels, a bowl of water, and rubbing alcohol." I rolled my eyes and she growled at me. Liam gathered the things and came back. Lily sat up and took her shirt off. "Please lay down a towel or two under me. Then pour the alcohol on my hands then be on standby." "What are you going to do?" My curiosity got me. Right after I finished that question she dug her claws inside her wound and fished around. Blood was coming out of her wound. I could see the pain on her face as she was looking for something in her side. She pulled her fingers out and dipped them in the water and laid down.
"Liam, can you please put a towel on my side?" Liam did that and I looked down at the bowl and it had a bullet in it. I looked over and Lily was asleep. Liam moved the towel and her side was healed. "What just happened?" I asked. "I think we need to have a talk with our pack doctor because that my friend is a bullet." Liam explained.
I sat down and said, "Whoever her mate is has their hands full with her. But I would like to call the alpha of the Royal pack for a meeting to talk about her past." I said. Liam nodded and left the room.
I watched Lily until Liam came back with the doctor. "You wanted to see me alpha?" The doctor asked. "Yes, why didn't you see this bullet inside Lily?" I felt my wolf, Prince, get angry. I asked the question while I held up the bullet. He took it and looked at it and said, "Sorry, alpha, it is an undetectable metal."
"Just leave before I do something." I growled out. The doctor quickly left. "I called the alpha of the Royal pack. They agreed to come for a visit. They should be here in a few days." Liam said. "Thank you Liam, you're a good beta and a really good friend." "How is she doing?" He asked. "Better her breathing is normal." "That's great. I will watch her so you can go get some rest." He suggested. I nodded and left and went to my bedroom and fell asleep right when I hit the bed.
