Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I don't have a girlfriend

Knoxx POV

We silently entered the lobby. I chose to be silent because I think she's really irritated with the thought of something.

I am staring at her and she didn't even glanced my way. Well, I don't really care but I just can't help but noticed her knitted brows, and glaring eyes.

If looks could kill then the elevator should be dead right now.

"Girlfriend?"

She spat out of the blue. She isn't looking at me but who else is she talking to? There are just the two of us inside the elevator.

"Pardon Miss president?"

She glared at me. She turned around and faced me.

"That girl you're talking to in the meeting. Is she your girlfriend?"

I equalled her glare with my stare. A small smile touched my lips. Why do I feel like I am interrogated by my jealous girlfriend? I chuckled at that thought.

"No Miss President. I don't have a girlfriend. She is just a friend."

The elevator opened and then she rolled her eyes at me. She turn her back at me and got out in the elevator. But a small smile touched her lips.

Oh no Miss President. Don't act like that.

When we reached her room, she opened it and glanced my way.

"Are you coming back in that hall to continue your conversation with that girl?"

She asked without looking at me. My eyes widened a fraction. I've been with girls all my entire high school life and I know where is it going. Damn! Is she flirting?

I remember, one day my father told me to avoid the Juarez girl.

We are in front of ACE Suites and Resort together with my father. He told me to sell the pearls I've got in the ocean because the tourists can afford it.

I sat at the edge of the boat while it is moving to the seashore in front of the hotel. Even from a afar, I can already see the glowing white skin of a girl putting a lotion in a sun lounger.

Her long hair is down and her long legs were spread enough to give men obscene thoughts... If only she's a bit older... And smiling a bit.

After putting some lotion in her arms, she turned her back in the sea and arranged her bikini. I almost looked away because of what she did.

"Knoxx!!"

I almost forgot what is my purpose in coming here. My father's harsh voice woke me up.

"Stop that! That is a Juarez!"

I looked at my father, can't understand what does he mean by it.

"What do you mean dad?"

"You can court any girl Knoxx. But not a Juarez."

I looked at my father intently. He looked at the Juarez girl so I also looked at the girl.

She is now putting a lotion in her legs. The boys from the other side are looking at her. My blood boiled just by looking at the boys who's shamelessly gawking at her. Damn!

"Not now. Not until you can provide anything she wants. Anything she needs. You still have a long way to go."

I faced my father who's already looking at me.

"Don't worry. I know what to do. You don't need to remind me. And also, I don't like 'kids'."

I emphasized the word 'kid' for him to understand but his eyes never leaved mine. For God's sake! I'm 5 years older than her!

"I'm warning you Knoxx. Don't be like me."

And that's when he caught my attention.

I suddenly remembered what my father told me. I looked at the girl in front of me. Yes, she's beautiful. But no, I don't fall for kids.

"No Miss President." I answered in the most formal way.
