"Happy Birthday!" Sarah shouted. Our conversation turned to birthdays. My birthday was planned. Sarah told me she had a surprise for me. I received my birthday gift from her. I opened the gift. I joked with Sarah that she was buying me too many gifts. I didn't want her to go broke. " It's time for you to open it." Sarah said, I sighed deeply, and realized it was a box as soon as I unwrapped it. Sarah watched as I wondered what the gift was. When I opened the box, I found a watch.
Sarah was becoming more and more attractive to me. Her entire personality is what makes me love her. God has sent me someone who understands my struggles, and I understand Sarah's struggles. She was meant to be in my life for a reason. I can't thank God enough for her.
"Could I just tell you how amazing you are?"
One night, Sarah and I decided to go swimming. It was one in the morning, and Bradley was in bed. Sarah and I were having a blast, and I splashed water at Sarah's face, and she replied, "You didn't just splash water at me." I started laughing, and Sarah splashed water back at me as I knew she and I were just playing and fooling around.
"Tell me what she was like."
Sarah and I were sitting on the concrete pool deck. As I sighed, I shrugged. "She was everything to me. She was loved by everyone." Sarah asked me another question, and I didn't think she would ask. "What's special about her?" I shook my head, "Everything." I stood up from the concrete, and Sarah did the same. I walked up to one of the outdoor chairs and picked up my towel. I was still wet, so I started drying myself. Sarah did the same, she was in a one piece bathing suit.
As Sarah began drying, I turned around and sighed. "I hope you understand that I do miss Rebecca." Sarah shook her head, and she nicely understood.
I'm glad I told Sarah about Rebecca. It was actually a relief. I hope it didn't offend Sarah when I told her I still miss Rebecca. All I wanted was for Sarah to understand that Rebecca was a big part of my life. I hope it didn't make Sarah jealous, I wasn't trying to make her feel bad. Sarah did tell me that she has days where she misses Gordon. I can tell that the look in her eyes is still saying she still misses Gordon.
Bradley and I had already made arrangements with his parents. They visit once a year every summer. I opened the door, and let them come inside. We all greeted each other and we sat down to talk.
"So Jessie, how are you doing?"
"Good, I am doing good."
I sighed, Mrs. Lewis continued our conversation. She asked me who Sarsh was, and what she's like. "Bradley had told me a lot about you dating this Sarah girl." I shook my head, "Yeah, she's great." Mr. Lewis then asked me a question, "How have you been doing since what happened to you know, Rebecca I think?" Bradley was getting uncomfortable, "Oh, I am doing just fine."
I sighed and took a sip of my drink. Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Lewis understand. "I heard this Sarah girl sounds like a great person. But, I didn't know you had such high hopes for believing in a God who doesn't actually exist."
"Mom." Bradley replied.
Mrs. Lewis said something to me that offended me. "I'm sorry, it's just that, you know, I always thought you were different." I softly cleared my throat, I swallowed before I spoke. "I'm sorry, it's just that, you know, I always thought you were different." I softly cleared my throat, I swallowed before I spoke. "May I be excused?" I asked. Bradley let me be alone, and I stood up from my chair and marched to my bedroom.
