Prologue

It was raining outside the hospital window and I was agonizing in the bed I was lying in. I was at the death door. But I didn't regret the choice that I made. I am 18yo and an orphan and since I had the age to work, I was helping the orphanage with the bills.

I worked my ass off so the children could eat. I didn't have time to do anything else but I was intelligent and still working so much I was one with the best grades in the school.

My dream was to open a company so that I could earn money and produce some entertainment for the children. I loved reading some mangas for them or watching animes or movies with them.

One of my best memories was watching cartoons with them until we fall asleep. I didn't regret leaving them because today I did something for them that they won't be hungry ever again.

Today I was coming back from my job as delivery man of food for restaurants in the morning when I saw a bus full of children driving without control in the direction of the river.

I did the first thing that came to my mind I drove the mini-truck of my workplace in parallel with the bus and nudged into the wall until the bus stopped but in the process, my truck lost control and rolled over multiple times and I lost conscience then.

I woke up in the hospital with a couple staring at me. They started talking but I barely heard with all the pain I was feeling. The only thing that I understood was that they were parents of a kid that I saved and that they were grateful beyond measure and they were asking if he had anything that I wanted to ask them.

Without any hesitation, I asked

"Can… you… take c… care… of… of… my… orphan… orphanage? Please…" I said with my voice failing with all the pain I was having.

I was losing consciousness but I managed to listen that they would fund the orphanage until the end of their life.

After that, I sank into the darkness feeling more relieved that in his whole life knowing that the children wouldn't feel hunger anymore.

I woke two more times and I saw the kids from the orphanage crying beside my bed. Tears came to my eyes, as I knew from the doctor that only was a matter of time before I died because I was leaving them, but I resigned to my fate and accepted the grace from the universe as I was leaving them with a gift that they could survive in this world.

As I was sinking into the eternal darkness, I only felt happy that I was given the chance to meet these kids and caretakers of the orphanage cause even though it was a hard life still was a life full of happiness.
