A 12 year old looking boy could be seen with his head down and laid on his front. Sweat dropped as he tried his hardest to push himself up, as he raised his head to meet the eyes of the man who had put him down blood ran down his nose from a cut on his forehead and he bled from his lips. The stone floor of the outdoor training area was awash with blood, The summer sun was at its peak and with such warm climate sweat was seen all over his body although he was 12 he was muscular for an early teen and already had the forming of abs.

"You didn't stand up with your spear or shield you deserved to to be hit, never! let your self raise without your spear nevermind your shield. These two are the your lifeline and without them you die and but they will live without you so use them as you would your arms." A tall herculean man stood with his dark brown eyes staring at the boy in front of him.
"Yes Father!I won't do it again." the boy shouted as he replied.
"Max I know you may think what I do is barbaric and I know we no longer train others the way I train you but you must understand that for you to stand above others you need to be the best only you will lead the elites in our kingdom and eventually you will be King yourself so for you to be the strongest, even stronger than me you need to train hard." King Leonidas spoke softly with care for his son.

In the Kingdom in which Leonidas reigned was in an alternative earth to which Maximillien knew in his old life. As Leonidas was a God he was eligible to create his own domain, essentially his own planet and solar system however where other Deities would reign in the shadows playing games he only manages his own people and doesn't act like a God at all only an immortal King. He has never had the desire to expand his empire and he lets all the other kingdoms manage themselves.
Since Leonidas was a man from 400BC he didn't really care for modern advancements so his earth was very similar to medieval times however he did implement modern medicine and using stone for architecture and he also quite liked refrigerators and if some country would advance themselves in technology he was not one to oppose such things however anything related to war was destroyed only improvements in blacksmithing and armouring were allowed. He despised guns and any form of modern weapon as he believed it made cowards out of soldiers who couldn't kill the foe directly infront of them.
However the most surprising change was an incredible increase in magical energy in the world, Leonidas could use magical powers although only he knew what they were most speculated they was physical enhance based skills yet because of his personality and wanting strong foes he created fake legacies in every continent and used his power to create dungeons and monsters from myth.
He also used his smartest subordinates to try create new skills and a vast amount of magic attacks, healing skills, common life improvement magic so on and so forth. To his people Leonidas was a revolutionary however on the inside he knew that every major planet had this energy and most had allowed gun warfare so he naturally was at a disadvantage due to his principles so of course being the Spartan he is created monsters with this in mind and so he is Lvl 1 was equivalent to level 20 in other worlds.
Although yet to have extraterrestrial invaders he didn't want to be weak and be unprepared. His country was the strongest and he wanted his planet to be the strongest too, In 6 years he would let the world see it's might and show the power of his heir Maximillien or as he is known in the kingdom Leon of Sparta.
