(POV JOHAN)
Flashback on
"I came here to return the ring and give you this, Honey."
The words of the woman with waist-length hair invited a rumbling in my chest. We haven't seen each other for more than a month, and now he brings new sorrow.
Her name is Ranti. A woman I proposed to three months ago. He deliberately put distance between us for no apparent reason. I had thought that his arrival this time was to apologize. In fact, Ranti even returned our engagement ring.
"What do you mean, honey?" I asked in surprise.
Ranti removed the round object from her ring finger. The next second, he presented a blue piece of paper to me.
I read the letters written there. The names of a pair of spontaneous people make my heart want to let go. I threw the wedding invitation letter and stepped on it until it was out of shape. A blazing gaze was aimed at Ranti's pale face.
"Explain to me what that means!" I hugged both of Ranti's shoulders tightly. I didn't find any trace of happiness there. Something must have happened to him.
"Forget everything about us, Mas. Find a much better woman. "I don't love you anymore," Ranti shouted harshly, while fending off my arm.
Randy slowly walked away. Leaving me still dumbfounded on the veranda of the house, I chased Ranti again when her back became invisible. Honestly, I still can't digest all of this.
"Ranti, wait! What is it? Tell me." My shriek stopped him in his tracks.
"I'm pregnant, sir. Leave me and find another woman. I do not deserve you,"
Crack!
My knees went weak after hearing Ranti's words just now. Simultaneously, thunder struck the earth. Bringing Ranti's body away. I lay unconscious. The next day, I found myself lying on my mother's lap.
FLASHBACK Off
"Sir?"
"E-uh, yes?"
I woke up from the events decades ago after Nara waved his hand right in my face. I closed my eyes for a few seconds. Trying to convince once again that what I saw was not the figure. A woman who once ruthlessly destroyed my world.
Tap!
Unfortunately, time and circumstances brought us together again.
I stare at the beautiful expression that is slowly aging. Deeper. Yes, she is Ranti. My ex fiancé.
No wonder I felt like I was in the past when I first saw Nara's face. No wonder I had pity and took him home, even looking for him when he left my house. And, naturally, I wanted him to marry Senyo. I found the answer today. It turns out that Nara is Ranti's daughter. The woman I love so much.
"This is my mother, sir. Master already knows his name, right? " Nara's round eyes landed on me.
"Y-yes, Nora,"
"Mother. This is Mr. John. The man who saved me back then." Nara clinging spoiled in her mother's hand. From here, I can see two angels whose faces are almost exact. Nora didn't seem suspicious either.
Randy just nodded. He gave a code for me and Nara to follow him into the house. He also looked shocked, but did not dare give any response.
"Sorry Mister, Our house is not as beautiful as Master's house," said Nara as he spread out a mat in the living room.
It's a tense event. I never thought I would be reunited with Ranti. My heart started to get restless when Nara mentioned her mother's name while in the car. Sure enough, My anxiety was evident after I saw it with my own eyes.
I could die here for a long time. Therefore, I chose to directly convey my intentions. Business accepted or not, it is no longer important to me. All I want is to get out of here right away. It hurts to see Ranti's face.
"This is Ranti ..." I tried to neutralize the beating of my heart. "… earlier I apologize for asking Nara to stay at my house without permission first with her parents, but you can take it easy because I take care of Nara like I take care of my own family. You must think that Nara works in a fried duck shop, right? Nara is no longer there, but she lives at my house. I came here to ask for your blessing." My breath catches. I'm too nervous talking to Ranti.
"What blessing?" asked Ranti after being silent for a while.
"Nara and my son, Senyo, are getting married soon,"
"Marry?"
Ranti's expression immediately turned tense. I know this must be hard for Ranti. How could he possibly marry off his daughter to the son of his own ex-lover?
"Yes, I'm not pushing, but I love Nara as much as I love Senyo. "
Ranti swept Nara's face. There was a trace of sadness on his face. I didn't expect more, because it could be that Ranti refused this matchmaking.
"Do you love that man?" Ranti stroked her daughter's long hair.
Nora just nodded. I know that Nara actually doesn't like Senyo, and vice versa. It's just, I'm sure that feeling will arise after they get married later. Because I love Runi too after undergoing the ark of the household with her.
"Mother has no right to stop. If you think it's good, then do it. I just hope that you are always happy."
I was suddenly shocked by the words Ranti said. Did he approve of Nara and Senyo's marriage? Even though it's in the past, that doesn't mean he can forget our story, right?
"You approve of it?" I tried to convince him once again.
I don't know what made Ranti agree to this arranged marriage. Was he doing all this just to get me back home quickly? Or, he had indeed forgotten the past. Ranti is really unpredictable.
"Yes man. Tell your son so that he takes good care of Nara."
"Like I took care of you at that time," I continued to myself.
"Yes, Randy. I assure you that Nara will be happy with this marriage.
"Will Mom come later? I'm getting married in four days, Mom. " Nara's words made Ranti's head jerk back. He must have been shocked by this sudden news.
"Tell me the address. You must come to the wedding of your prettiest daughter." Ranti hugged Nara tightly. So happy to see how close they are.
I remember that time between Ranti and I had promised, if we had children, we would take good care of them together. Ranti also once said that she wanted to have three daughters and two sons. Ranti loves crowds. Hence, he longed for a house full of troops. In fact he only had one daughter and from another man.
Ranti to the tail of the house. I looked around this room. It's really worrying. I don't know for sure whether the man who became her husband was someone whose name was on the invitation letter at that time or not. As far as I know, the man had the heart to sell his own daughter. sign that Ranti is experiencing domestic failure. It is certain that her husband is not a good person.
Mr., please have a drink. Sorry I can't give more, "said Ranti. He brought a tray of sweet tea with it, then sat back down next to Nara.
"Mom, how's dad?" asked Nara to her mother.
Randy smiled faintly. Once again he gently stroked his daughter's long mane.
"Your father is in prison, son,"
"Hah! Father in prison?" Nara and I were shocked to hear that.
