Chapter 50 - What's Next

After finishing their dinner, the pressing question on their minds was what to do next. It was evident that none of them could leave the island, nor could they exact revenge on the resort owner, Asmodeus, for imprisoning them on this deserted island.

Asmo was relishing every moment spent with his brothers. He had even managed to subdue Satan himself, and now he was determined to coerce the others into participating in some traditional Christmas activities.

He had already begun scheming, making phone calls to initiate his side plans. When Lucifer saw the smirk on his face, he felt compelled to walk up to Asmo, take away his phone, and air his grievances, stating his own ground rules.

"Since you got what you want, I also have my own reservations and rules to be obeyed. No phones, no internet, and most of all, no secrets are allowed. You wanted us to live like we were still in Noah's time, then let's do it right."

Asmo was surprised but quickly got over his shock and replied, "Great, I like your Christmas spirit, Lucif."Lucifer cut in after hearing what Asmo called him, "Did you just call me Lucif? I'd rather be called Morningstar. I don't want a human name."Asmo broke into laughter, "I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings or bruise your ego? You see, when you tell me not to use phones or connect to the internet, I end up needing entertainment. I turn to name-calling, non-stop teasing, and telling people around me the harsh truth I mostly politely keep to myself. Let's begin with you..."

Before he could finish, Lucifer threw his phone back to him and turned to walk away. Asmo knew Lucifer was way too proud to engage in banter with him.

Asmo knew how to push Lucifer's buttons, and yeah, he wasn't going to stop calling Lucifer "Lucif." They were on a holiday as brothers, not as strict business friends who couldn't tease each other. If he couldn't joke around with his brothers, then who could he possibly joke around with?

He then saw Mammon approaching him. The moment Mammon got to him, he knew exactly what he wanted to do and he gave the green light for him to do as he wished.

Mammon threw a soft punch at Asmo's pretty face and then he jabbed him in the stomach before finally giving him an uppercut. That was a definite technical knockout, and Asmo found himself on the ground, hazy and bruised.Mammon stretched out his hand to help Asmo stand up, and Asmo accepted without hesitation. Such was the strength of their brotherly bond that after a beatdown like that, Asmo rose up to hug Mammon and said, "I am sorry for not telling you my plan before I used you like a pawn. It wasn't personal, I just knew you wouldn't accept to pull off such a crazy idea on your best of days."Mammon replied, "I didn't beat you up for that. I hit you because you didn't let me try to protect you when Satan lunged at you. You could have died, or have you forgotten you're human now."

"Oh yeah, I forgot. Or I might have learned how to act bold as a mere human from you. I remember when you gave me your powers. You ordered me to keep Michael busy and not allow Gabriel to deliver his message to Daniel while the other angels came after you with all they had. You could have also died if I hadn't defied your wish."

Mammon laughed and blurted out, "I guess being mortal wasn't as fun as I had envisioned. I confess that I was scared of dying, but we could have held back the Archangels longer than we did. Now let's drift from those past events and honestly tell me if you actually planned something interesting before you decided to trap the Princes of Hell on an island with you."

Asmo then confessed, "You have no idea what I have in store for all of you. We are going to have more fun than we ever had before. What do you think of a jolly Carols night?"

Mammon exclaimed, "Satan is going to hate it so much."

Asmo smiled and concluded, "His hate is the reason I love doing what I do. What's Christmas without Old Nick crashing the party."

Asmo was clearly excited about the upcoming Carols night and the opportunity to bring some festive cheer to the group. His mischievous nature seemed to revel in the idea of causing some displeasure to Satan, finding joy in the potential disruption to the solemnity of the occasion.

It was evident that Asmo took delight in stirring things up and creating a lively atmosphere, even if it meant ruffling a few feathers, especially those of Satan.
