Jordan acted like she didn't ask him at all. He placed the paper he was holding on the round table between them, then looked at her darkly. "Lena, as a cunning businessman, I see to it that in every transaction, there will always be a written document." He tapped the paper on the table twice. "And now we're going to have a transaction…."
"What transaction?" she asked, confused. "I have no business with you, Jordan."
"That's where you're going wrong." He leaned into her, his eyes staring intimately at hers. "Lena, you and I will always have an unfinished business."
Her eyes were sharp. "No." She shook her head violently. "I have no unfinished business with you. I left then. And the other day, I explained the reason why. If you were hurt, I was hurt too. And you said, we are fair. So, you and I ..." She leaned in, mimicking him. "... is already finished."
