She answered the call, and immediately Tyler spoke, which surprised her.
"Hey, cousin. What's this news I heard that your marriage with Rowan won't last? Did he hurt you? What's the matter? Just an issue or…."
"It's true."
The person on the other line was speechless for a few minutes. "You want to talk?"
"Nah. I'm good," she lied.
She was not good. She was depressed!
"Are you sure? You could come by my house tomorrow."
"I have a lot to do tomorrow," she said. "Maybe next time."
"Oh. Okay," Tyler said as if there was nothing left to say.
"Yeah. I have to hang up now."
"Alright. Take care, okay? When you need something, just call me. Okay?"
