Mason was surprised by Alvis' hidden dagger, but he was able to react to it quickly. He turned his head to his left. As a result the dagger in Alvis hand left only a scratch on his face.
Alvis was baffled when he saw Mason dodge it, and at the next second Mason used his right hand forming a fist and punched Alvis in the stomach area.
Alvis was knocked back a few meters.
(Shit! I thought that would work.)
"let's call it a day." Mason called out to Alvis
"I can keep going…"
"There is no need."
"Why?"
"Because you have developed your own style of fighting."
Alvis wasn't able to refute to that statement Mason made.
"Now all you need to do is develop it, gain experience, and once all of that will come together like a puzzle."
"Ok." Replied with a disappointed tone from Alvis.

Even though Alvis was still defeated, today was different. He felt bliss because he landed a scratch, he knew all his hard work had paid off.
So during the rest of the day he was in a very good mood. While Alvis is surrounded by bliss, he doesn't realize that Charlotte was also in a good mood.
The next morning.
"You are going to fight the soldiers now instead of me." Mason told Alvis as a few soldiers followed from behind.
"Why?"
"Because not everyone you fight will be like me. Just hurry up and get ready."
After Alvis got ready, Mason explained the rules.
" First, you are not allow to do a lethal blow
Second, magic abilities are allowed to be use
Third, once your opponent surrenders, the match will end
Fourth, if the opponent is unable to continue, the match will end."
Alvis and one of the soldiers both nodded their heads.
"On your mark.
Get ready."
Go!"
Both of them charged forward, since the soldier's main weapon was a spear. And Alvis' weapon is a medium range sword he is having a hard time getting close to.
10 minutes passed and the situation was still the same, Alvis couldn't get closer to use any of his tricks like the one Alvis used against Mason.
Alvis' experience in combat is only with an opponent with a sword, and he had no experience in fighting someone with a spear. That one of the reason why Alvis is having a bit of a hard time
Another reason was the size difference, even though he overcame it by fighting against Mason. And now the soldiers are not only greater than him in size, the distance of the fighting was also large between two of them.
He had tried creating a small knife to throw at him and then rushed toward the. But the knife was blocked by the spear, and with the back end of the spear it hit towards Alvis. Alvis however dodged it and moved back a few steps.
10 minutes passed….
Another 10 minutes passed….
Alvis is out of stamina, while the soldier looks composed.
After 5 minutes passed.
"Alvis is unable to continue, therefore he loses." Mason announced
Alvis was breathing heavily on the floor.
Mason walked over and asked, "Did you know why you lost?"
"I don't have enough experience?"
"That is one of the reasons."
"What's the rest?"
"Figure out yourself."
Alvis "...."

After the morning training Alvis continued his personal butler job, during times when he was not needed he would always recall the match this morning.
He constantly replayed each scene in his head, finding what his error was.
During breakfast Isaac looked toward Alvis as if he was about to say something towards him.
"Alvis, can you be Charlotte's escort today? She is going to tour around the area for today."
"Yes, I will fulfill the duty."
However, Alvis inner thoughts were the opposite.
(Why me?)
"You were thinking 'Why me' right?" Isaac said that as he giggles
"No, it would be rude of me."
(?? Does he have mind-reading magic?)
Isaac sat there smiling looking at Alvis, as if he was saying 'I don't know do I?'
When Charlotte finished her breakfast, both Alvis and Charlotte left the dining room to prepare for the venture outside.
In the dining room Mason, who is the personal butler of Isaac, asked, "Lord Isaac, why did you choose my son to do the escort job?"
"I heard that you have been training your son so I chose him for the safety of Charlotte." Isaac turned towards Mason and added another topic, "Mason you know you don't have to be so polite, when we are alone right?"
"I am just merely fulfilling our contracts." But Mason still changed his way of speech
"Ah, has it been 8 years already?"
"Yes, time sure does pass by quickly. And also please don't try to change the subject."
"Well I just want these two kids to know each other. Charlotte doesn't have any friends at her age, and usually kids her age always talk to her in a polite way because of the social status they have."
"What about those from the other first class houses and the royal family?"
"Other first class kids are older than Charlotte, and if they do try to get familiar with Charlotte it is mostly ulterior motives that come behind it. And the royal family since they have a higher status it natural for Charlotte to talk politely because of that making friends won't come to her mind." Isaac explained each of his opinions, "And besides, Alvis' status will change soon."
Mason realized what he meant and decided not to pursue it. And just as he was about to ask something and Isaac spoke first and interrupted him.
Isaac smiled and said, "If you are worried about their safety, don't worry about it there are guards hidden in the shadow following."

Alvis and Charlotte enter the Isbert house carriage preparing to set off.
Outside the mansion a silhouette that hid behind a tree. And whisper to the stone tablet in its palm
"The target had left the mansion."
"Good." A voice came out from the stone tablet. "Keep following and wait for further orders."
"Yes boss."
