While he was in the waiting room, he thought about Mona and the way she acted earlier. Though she told him about her illness, it seemed that it was heavier than that. He could tell that she was trying to hide the gravity of her illness from him. He heard humans suffer a lot of illnesses which sometimes kill them quickly.
Now he was scared of just leaving her outside. Though she had told him that she would take care of herself, he couldn't help being worried. The more he was with her, the more comfortable he felt around her.
She was indeed an innocent soul which had made his anger towards strangers dissipate.
Talbot looked at the time, and it was 11:am already, but he still hadn't gotten any news about the Alpha King. He just prays he doesn't get rejected this time. His supporters were already losing the patience to stick to the original plan.
