"It could have gone better," I let my fingers brush through the hair at the top of my scalp then lightly gripped it.
"I'm guessing Lucy and Ezekiel was not the calm reunion I was hoping for," he chuckled as he fully walked into my bedroom. His growing hair now reached his shoulders, his short beard seemed to have gotten a trim this morning and he looked tired yet still filled with more life than myself.
I shook my head, "It- it was a lot for Ezekiel. I suggested we come back and make another appointment. None of it was his fault." I wondered if Adonis found it strange that I was already protecting Ezekiel.
If he did he did not show it as he went to my mini bar and poured himself a short glass of the untouched whiskey. "Want some?"
