"And where do you think you're going?" Adonis quirked his left eyebrow as I shakily climbed off the bed in attempts to sneak out of the room before he noticed. Yet the man had eyes at the back of his head therefore he saw all.
I felt my skin heat up as panic flooded me once again. "I wanted to go check on Ezra." It was not technically a lie because I did want to check on him whilst also speaking to Ezekiel to see how we could sort out what I saw.
"Ezekiel said he is still asleep, so maybe you can give him some time," he walked over to the bed and scooped me up in his arms, "Plus you had quite the fall. Your forehead is all bruised." I knew he was upset I fainted because I was pregnant after all.
