Blue and Rain had not stopped crying since Adonis had left which just made me feel even worse because it felt like they were blaming me for their dad being upset. Even though they could not talk it truly felt that way.
No matter what I did they would not stop that at a point I felt like crying myself.
"Please babies don't cry it wasn't technically my fault," I cooed as I bounced them both on my lap as they wailed. "Please," I begged as tears welled up in my eyes as I momentarily looked away from them to the ceiling.
I tried my best to blink away my tears but once one rolled down my cheek it was a domino effect. I had never been more burnt out in my life. I had pulled all 'nighters' just to become the valedictorian of my university and still somehow managed to be extremely energetic.
