When I got the cabin later on that night, the lights were already on and I could make out Asa's silhouette on the couch as she had a textbook open on her lap and more spread across the coffee table in front of her.
Before I climbed the stairs I took a deep breath in then exhaled. I knew I had to come clean to her about my conversation with Baba because if I did not she would find out on her own and there would be no way to calm the storm that would occur.
When I stepped in she looked up to me with a small smile. "You took long."
"I had an unexpected meeting with Baba," I sighed as I sat down next to her. Without any permission whatsoever I held her chin and gave her a sloppy kiss.
