"You look like you've barely gotten any sleep," Iris giggled as we had breakfast.
I mockingly giggled along with her than rolled my eyes, "that's because I didn't."
"Well don't slow us down or Ezekiel and I might have to leave you behind," she grinned before she hoovered the pancakes on her plate.
I looked at Ezekiel with a sigh before saying, "Any news from Joe yet?"
"Not yet but he promised if he had any breakthrough he would contact me."
I nodded and we continued having breakfast with light chatter before it was time to head out. We were all dressed in hiking attire with windbreakers since it was a bit chilly out today. We each had backpacks filled with essentials. Ezekiel and I carried handguns in case of emergencies whilst Iris held a Taser and pocket knife.
