It was the first time I had actually seen Ezekiel look stressed in the years I had known him. Unlike any of the guards I knew he was always calm and collected no matter the circumstances, he always knew how to navigate his way out of the situation.
That was what I liked about him, he never allowed for me to worry over security because that was his burden to carry whilst I already had so much on my plate. That was why I was struggling to understand how we got here after so many years of no incidents.
"Is Cloud and the babies okay?" he asked as he sat with Apollo and I in my office. We were just about to start questioning him on yesterday events. I could tell he felt bad that Cloud and I had to go through that. I would have much rather preferred to find the threat alone than in the presence of my Belmont.
