Aunt Em opened the door
"Sue I'm home"
No reply.
" I know I said I was coming tomorrow but surprise!" She said with jazz hands as she dropped off the two heavy groceries bags on the kitchen counter. The house was silent.
She came up the stairs to Sue's room. She was gone. Nowhere to be found.Something caught her eyes.It was all squeezed up, a poster.Probably one of the school events.Why didn't she tell her? She knew she wasn't her real mom but she would had at least tried to make it there.She covered her face with her hands.She wasn't a good anything. She had messed up her own daughter's life but now Sue felt like a second chance .She had lost one but that didn't mean she had to abandon the others.And even now she was always doing one thing or another.
Aunt Em sunk on the bed and sighed. Her phone rang.It was an unknown number. Time passed as she listened closely to the caller.The call ended and she groaned.
