Chapter 2 - Prologue

*The prologue will be used to set up the story, hence his early life will just be an overview.

We will go into details from Chapter 1, and you'll get details about his early life through Interludes and possibly flashbacks.*

Reborn as 34th son of Big Mom and younger twin of Charlotte Raisin, he decided to make the best of it by rigorously training, establishing himself as a valuable member and bonding with his family members, the sane ones at least.

Getting renown, together with Katakuri, as the Aegis of the Charlotte family, the two strongest sons, the shields, that will always cover their siblings, he showed early on, that he doesn't really care what you say about or do to him. So long as you don't badmouth or attack his family, he will be easygoing and friendly.

Having the trust of Big Mom, he was appointed as Minister of foreign Cuisine, the highest diplomatic position available.

This allowed him leeway and freedom seldomly seen in Totto Land. He took over that duty at the age of 15, making him, by far, the youngest member of the family to take over a major position in the kingdom.

Unable to safe his all time favourite character, Nico Robin, from tragedy because he was born too late, he attempts to, at least, give her a safe haven to return to, should she ever need one.

At first, Robin was careful and guarded around the young boy who claimed to be a Charlotte and knew so much about her.

After seeing him put himself into the line of fire to keep her safe, just to be wounded by an attack, that would have undoubtedly killed her, she decided to take a leap.

After working together to dispatch the CP unit that was on her heels, he had the gall to apologise, as he thought, he might be the reason they found her as easily as they did.

A tentative friendship formed between the two of them, that soon blossomed into a true one as he continued to show, that this wasn't some convoluted plot to ensnare her.

From age 15, with his freedom to act in diplomatic matters, they managed to see each other quite often.

He did not interfere in her life, as she told him, that it is the one she chose. Nevertheless, he did make it easier for her in little ways.

His way of respecting the boundaries she set while doing his best to work around them was endearing to Robin, so she kept him up to date on the things she did.

Never did he judge or condemn her. His way of always being supportive, always listening and, from time to time, giving good and solid advice slowly crumbled the walls around her heart.

By the time she joined the strawhats, she had developed a very invested romantic interest in the young genius. She never acted on it, though, since she thought she was too old for him.

Then Enies Lobby happened. He didn't know if it would still go down as it did in canon, but he trusted her to at least contact him. She didn't. He got intel of what was happening from his own information network and immediately hurried over. By the time he arrived, Usopp had already burned the world government flag.
