(Zane POV)
"We're looking forward to seeing you in CIA. Have a nice day, Zane."
"Thank you so much." I said before hanging up. I woke up to both good news and bad news. I received a phone call from an unknown number and little did I know, it was from The Culinary Institute of America.
They told me that I am one of the lucky students who made the cut off for partial scholarship due to my high grades. I was aiming for full scholarship so I won't have to pay for anything anymore but sadly, my grades are not high enough to be qualified so that means that I still have to pay the partial scholarship tuition. The bad news is I still couldn't afford it because my savings is not enough.
How am I going to get help? My friends are not that well-off so this is truly a daunting dilemma.
Suddenly, my phone rang again and it's Sasha.
"Hello?"
"Hey loser! Don't forget, we're going to Kurt's party later, okay? Wear something cute and something that will highlight your slender body."
"Oh yeah! Right, that!"
"Yeah, that, Zane! Also, don't forget to bring a condom in case he runs out."
I sighed before hanging up on her. I am not really in the mood to hear her obscene jokes. I have bigger fish to fry and I don't know if I am going to be able to catch it.
--
Sasha and I are in front of this gigantic luxurious mansion and I can see from the outside the amount of party goers that are in there already.
"You ready?"
I nodded my head, still fixated on my partial scholarship tuition. How will I be able to pay that?
As Sasha knocked, I began playing with my fingers, completely anxious of what might happen. As much as I try to remember Janelle's advice to stop worrying so much, I couldn't help but worry.
The door suddenly opened.
"Hey!" A half wasted Kurt greeted.
"Hey Kurt, you remember my friend, Zane?" Sasha pointed at me.
"Um…" Kurt then carefully examined my face before finally remembering me.
"Oh yeah! Zane, the cookie guy." He replied.
"Yeah, he makes delicious pastries and desserts." Sasha added, which made me smile awkwardly at him.
"Come in! Just make yourself at home." He said before stepping aside to let us in. As we entered, I felt like my eardrums are about to bleed, the stereos are just going off as loud as it can to the point that I can feel the vibrations on the floor. There are students making out, playing beer pong and dancing to the beat of the music. It's a completely new sight to begin with. I have been to parties, don't get me wrong but not the type like this.
"Sasha, this is slightly intimidating."
"Come on now, you'll get used to it, Zane. All you need to do is just get out of your box and mingle with people."
"Sasha!!" Some girl called.
"Macy, hi!" She said as they both ran to one another and did a tight hug as if they haven't seen each other for a while.
There goes my only acquaintance here. Now, what am I supposed to do?
--
It's already half past ten and I don't even know where Sasha is anymore. That's cool, just leaving her introverted friend over here. I was about to walk out when Kurt wrapped his arm around me. I can smell his alcohol scented breath even though his face is not that close to mine.
"Hey, cookie guy!" He said before burping to my nose.
"Kurt, you're drunk." I said.
He then backed off before walking in a straight line without stumbling, which downright amazed me.
"You're supposed to be tipsy."
"Surprise!" He giggled.
He then pulled me upstairs until we eventually land in his bedroom. I stood there, unsure of what was about to happen until he locked his doorknob.
"Um…Kurt, what are we doing here?" I asked.
"We're just…going…to…talk." He said while hiccupping.
"About what?"
"Life, I guess. How are you doing in terms of school?"
"Pretty fine, I guess. I'm selling desserts to everyone who wants some so I can pay my partial scholarship tuition for CIA. I hope to do better and have higher grades from there so I can have full scholarship this time in Le Cordon Bleu. I want to have a master's degree for culinary arts."
"Whoa, how cool. I hope it goes well for you." He said while wobbling slightly. I can't believe he can still stand though, despite how much alcohol he consumed, based on how pungent his breath is.
What he did next caught me off guard. He grabbed both of my arms and pushed me on the bed.
He hovered over me and began trailing his finger down my cheek. I looked at his dark brown eyes that are staring into my soul. He is even more stunning up close. I can't help but raise my hand and caress his face as well. I trailed my index finger from his forehead to his nose and to his plump lips. He smirked at me before doing the unthinkable thing to do.
He brought his lips down to mine. He kissed me. This was the moment I have been longing for. I finally had it.
My hands climbed up his hair and got entwined with a handful of strands. I savored the softness of his lips and the wetness of his tongue. It was the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. My hand sneaked under his shirt so I can touch his brass-like abs.
"Ah!"
I smiled during the kiss before pulling his shirt off. I threw it across the room while still nibbling his mouth. I rolled us over so I can be on top. I took the time of taking mine off before going back to his lips I can't get enough of. I felt our hardened poles against each other and I rubbed mine against his which made him groan during our make out session. His hands roamed down my buttocks and squeezed it. I clumsily unbuttoned his pants to take this further when a knock interrupted us.
I jumped off the bed as quick as a blink of an eye while Kurt looked dumbfounded.
"Um…who is it?" He asked.
"Kurt, this is Sasha. Would you happen to see where Zane is?"
I sighed before picking up my shirt on the floor and putting it back on.
"I think he's in the restroom!" Kurt replied. He then got up from his bed and walked towards me, shirtless. I couldn't look him in the eye because of the embarrassment surging through me, brought by our steamy make out session just one minute ago.
"I'll see you tomorrow." He said.
