Chapter 1 - May God Bless You

"Mommy, where are we going?"

The mother affectionately smiled at her dear daughter: "We're going home! We're gonna live with your father and brother!"

The daughter smiled back: "Really?! We don't need to change home anymore?! I can stay with Daddy and Big Brother?"

The mother nodded which made the daughter giggle and hug her mother happily. The mother stares at her daughter painfully, her daughter is should have lived as a princess, doted and pampered. But due to some dangerous circumstances, they were forced, mother and daughter, to live in hiding and pretend to be a commoner. They suffered a great deal of humiliation before, so when they reach the palace, she will claim what is rightfully theirs, she will be the one to deal the last blow to them.

"Mommy, mommy, your pinkie is bleeding. Should I heal it?"

The child tilted her head and sadly look at her mother's injury.

Mommy is hurt, but she won't let me heal it. Mommy must be in pain.

However, the mother kisses her daughter's forehead:" Azriah, my dear baby. Mommy is okay so you don't need to heal mommy. Remember what mommy always told you? Never use your powers, it hurts whenever you use it, right? Mommy is fine so baby doesn't need to feel pain."

Azriah nodded obediently and nestled in her mother's embrace. They were traveling quite smoothly but when they arrived on the narrow road of the mountain, the mother felt uneasy and tightly embrace her child.

"Uaghh!"

An arrow was slammed into their carriage's window. The coachman and the horse were hit.

"Protect the Madam and the lady!"

Chaos ensued.

The mother was surprised and her embrace loosened, their carriage shooked open. Varied sizes of rocks, from large to medium fell. The carriage trembled and tilted after being hit by a medium-sized rock. Azriah was thrown off the carriage after the impact.

"Mommy!"

"Azriah! Azriah! Azriah!"

The mother tried to catch her daughter's hand, but to no avail, it was not enough. Azriah, her daughter, the Empire's First Royal Princess fell down the slope of the mountain

...

Blood splattered everywhere. The chairs, windows, and even the chalice is not spared from being destroyed. It was a massacre.

That's what she saw upon arriving. The holy monastery was raided by people wearing orange shirts. They laugh and cheer as they mutilate the bodies of the people she lived with. From the convent, up to the hallways, to the monastery, everyone died at their gruesome hands.

What was the government doing? Why are these criminals here? What about the townspeople?

"Brother, it seems like this bitch wanted to die and came running to us! Hahaha!"

"Damn, I want to taste a faithful virgin but all of them are either old or ugly! It seems like we are favored!"

"Let's have a feast brothers! Hahahaha!"

The criminals teased the remaining nun and thought that her unresponsive state is due to being scared.

Her eyes dilated. She ignored the incoming criminals, her focus is on the symbol of God. It was still holy and divine, and its lower part is tinted with dried blood.

Dear God, are you testing my faith in you?

In her eyes, it's shining as if responding to her query: 'Do what you must, my child.'

She gulped several times and bit her lips to prevent the expression of her insanity. She clenched her jaws and listen to her heart that had already formed a requiem. She reached her inner robes and wear brass knuckles designed with spikes, while on her hidden left hand is a stun gun. She slowly closes the doors behind her.

A series of cries resounded in the eerie environment devoid of any life. Strangely enough, the cries became music to the ears of anyone who might hear it. Perhaps, one might even feel relief and faith.

Inside the monastery, the remaining nun drags the bodies and arranged them neatly. One can see that she suffered many injuries, but she moves unconcerned like she digested a painkiller. The criminals' wretched bodies are placed before the altar.

The nun was kneeling, her hands clasped, eyes closed, and was praying with a great deal of concentration. That's what the townspeople saw when they arrived at the monastery. Earlier, the town was raided and many of their families were slaughtered so some people who hid immediately dialed the authority and called for help. It took them a bit of time since their town is located in the suburbs.

Everyone was grief-stricken. The servants of God are dead. They approached the kneeling nun in hopes to acquire what had transpired and who killed the thieves. Yet, gasps were heard when they notice that the nun wasn't breathing. Her clothes are stained with injuries and near her are weapons. They quickly understood what happened. It was unbelievable, but in front of the Almighty Creator, nothing is impossible.

She died while serving God.

...

She stares at the sky without moving an inch. Different memories are merging in. She fell from the mountain but her body doesn't hurt anymore, she looks at her wound and realized that they were healing, there was a golden fire-like thing blazing in her wounds but rather than burning her, it is healing her. She waited for a few minutes before standing up and leaving the place she landed. The people after her might still try to track her, she took a stone and left inconspicuous markings. A thorough search can spot them.

She scavenges the area and found some berries to munch on. Before the night arrive, she, fortunately, found a tattered house and sneaked to a hiding spot only her size could fit. She clasp her hands and prayed that no one resides there, and if there is, it should be a good person who will pity and take care of her.

Now that she's settled, she cannot deny everything anymore. She thought she will be calm and collected, but at this moment, it was about to burst out. Everyone is dead and she arrived in a different world. She bit her lips to stop the painful sounds coming from her. Her heart hurts so much, to the point that she wants to rip it out.

"Uwahhh..."

Where the hell am I? What will happen to me?

Tears fell nonstop, yet it was not enough to depict her current sufferings. Perhaps, her current body cannot take the stress and she cried to sleep.

...

A new day arrived. And she woke up, she was inside a metal cage, along with other children.

Another day, another suffering.

"Who would have thought that a child would sneak into that trap house?" The trafficker said.

"I told you, people who are lost will use those houses that we set, and sleep without an ounce of vigilance. They thought it was a paradise, but no!"

The human traffickers laugh outside.

Azriah was forced to accept her current state. It wasn't even a full 24 hours and here she is, another misfortune in her head.

When they arrived, she thought that she can surely find a way to flee. However, when she looks up, there is no blue and vast sky, they are below the ground.

Azriah facepalmed. She wants to have a mental breakdown, even if it's just for 5 minutes. But the traffickers did not have such leniency. They were immediately given a collar and put on a display.

Azriah stares at the passing people, her mind blank.
