Inside a beautiful palace that seemed covered by a faint mist, a young boy with short black hair that just barely reached his shoulders was laying on a bed constantly twisting and turning with his brow furrowed together and cold sweat all over his body as if he was being possessed by something.
Around the bed, there was a couple, a girl and a blurry silhouette surrounding the boy with grim and sad faces, clearly worried about the boy on the bed.
"Master, what's happening with Ming'er soul now." the man asked the blurry figure with a distressed tone. Who wouldn't be when your child is suffering? Well, not all parents would feel this way, but he was clearly a parent who cared for his child.
"Judging from the fluctuation of his soul, it seems that is awakening up. As I had said before, when he was born, his soul was in some sort of deep sleep. That's why soul seems always weak, and he was always in a dazed or faint sometimes. From my previous prediction, this would continue until from somewhere for 6 to 16 years, where he would be naturally awakened, but it seems like something forceful started the awakening a head of time." the blurry figure, who was the master of the man said. He somewhat knew what was happening but not the root of the cause of it.
(A/N: This conversation was through the spiritual mind)
"Mom, what is happening to brother?" the little girl asked, looking a bit lost, confused and sad while looking at the boy on the bed. She looked very similar to him except for her golden eyes, which she got from her mother, and her long hair that reached the middle of her back.
"Don't worry, Li'er, your brother is just having a nightmare. He will get better soon." The mother said with a somewhat forced smile while patting the girl's head. Obviously, she was just saying that to comfort her daughter as she herself wasn't completely sure of the state of her son.
"Mhm, ok then." When she heard what her mother said, her brow somewhat relaxed as she showed a little less worried compared to before. But she was still worried because her brother was in pain.
Everyone in the room just looked at the girl with sympathy and then released a sigh. 'Ignorance is bliss.'
...
It was only until 30 minutes later that the child stopped moving about on the bed and was constantly taking heavy breaths of air. After more five minutes, his breathing became lighter and more stab, e making it seem as if he was asleep and nothing happened.
When the adults saw that he was mostly unharmed, they released a breath they didn't know they were holding.
"Luckily, he is mostly unharmed. If anything, this would help him with the awakening of his spiritual mind and soul forming. And his body doesn't have any adverse effect to the sudden change in his soul. If it was before, he could only enter the foundation realm after he turned 16. What was the saying 'Turning disaster into blessing?'" the blurry figure said with a sigh of relief.
"The good thing is that he is okay and that nothing irreversible happened to him." the mother said. She was just happy that nothing too serious happened to her son.
"Why don't you guys go out for a while, I'll wait until he is up." the father suddenly said, catching everyone off guard.
"Don't worry. I'll call you when he wakes up." Hearing that, they hesitated a bit before agreeing.
"And oh, Mingyue, can you check the Pill Pavilion for me with master?"
"Hm, okay." Mingyue said hesitantly. She clearly didn't want to leave her son when he just passed through a life-threatening situation. But she knew that something might have happened to her son, and her husband wanted to figure out what exactly happened to him but wanted to do it in private.
The blurry silhouette just glances at the husband before entering a seemingly ordinary ring. The man then took the ring and gave it to his wife.
"Just check on the herbs and on the refinement skills of the workers at the Pavilion. He should be a wake by the time you come back."
"Jiang Chen, is Ming'er going to be alright?" the mother asked.
"Don't worry, nothing is going to happen to him." Jiang Chen said. He then got up and kissed her forehead and hugged her for a bit. "By the time you come back, he would already be awake."
"Ok." Although she was worried there was nothing she could do to help with the situation. Who told her not to cultivate the Soul Dao, and now she couldn't even help her son.
After a while, she left with her daughter and the ring, leaving the father and son alone.
...
Sometime after, the child opened his eyes. He then rubbed his brow with his thumb and index finger as unknown memories filled his head.
"Uugh, what happened to me." he said as he tried to sort out what just happened to him. Before he could figure out what happened to him, he felt a terrifying pressure descend on him, which made it almost hard to breathe.
"Who are you?" a cold and monotone voice asked.
Feeling the pressure and hearing that voice, he had the impulse to cry. Even if he had memories of a different life, he is still a three-year-old child.
*sniffle**sniffle*
Tears threatened to escape his eyes as he tried to stop himself crying.
As soon as the man saw that, he quickly withdrew his pressure and tried and comforted the child.
"Alright, alright, it's my fault, ok? It's ok." the man said while hugging and rubbing the back of the back of the child.
After a few minutes, when the child calmed down enough, the man started to ask the child some questions.
"Do you know who I am?"
The child looked at the man with a confused look and head tilted to the side and said, "Are you not my father? You are acting weird."
"Don't worry and answer the questions. What is your name?"
"Jiang Tianming." he was a bit confused but went along with it.
"What is my name?"
"Jiang Chen"
"What is your mother and sister name?"
"Long Mingyue and Jiang Xingli"
"Anything strange happened to you while you were sleeping."
"I got the memories of man from a place called earth, but I can barely recall anything about it. But this system thing says that was my past life."
Jiang Chen continues to ask questions until he gets an understanding of what is happening. His son is likely a reincarnator for Earth, but it is a different one from the one one knows of. Although they seem to somewhat have the same history the Earth, he knew of had no beast or any form of cultivation or if there was, it was not public knowledge.
"You said that you have a system?" the father asked his son.
Jiang Tianming nodded in response. "It said its name is 'Talent Enhancement System'. The more I understand, do or use something the more my talent in that area increases. The more I use a sword or comprehend sword techniques or dao, the more my talent in the sword increases. At the same time, it does not affect my Daoist physiques."
Jiang Chen couldn't help but feel shocked. Although might seem weak compared to other systems where they might give you legendary daoist physiques, cultivation methods, pills, weapons and other things, but with this system you will basically have the potential to make them if when you cultivation is high enough.
That way, even if anything happens to the system, your experience and talents gained would still be there. That would mean he wouldn't have a fragile daoist heart like must system holders should have because of dependence on the system. If they lost their system, where would they be?
'This sounds to go to be true. Why would someone get so many benefits without having to pay anything in return?' Jiang Chen thought to himself.
"Huh?" Tianming exclaimed in surprise.
"What is wrong?"
"It seems the system creator wants to take me as a disciple."
'There it is but not what I was expecting.' Chen thought. 'Since the system has a creator, then we might want something from that he can't take from him directly. But the fact that master couldn't sense anything that meant they are stronger than master.'
That thought almost made he break out into cold sweat. Jiang Chen kept thinking of various scenarios to see if anyone was plot against his son, not realizing that a few years ago, he would be excited and use the system without any hesitation if he got one.
Meanwhile, Chen mind was wandering all over the place. Tianming was getting to know his so-called master.
"So let me introduce myself. My name is Luo Yunxi. As for my title and cultivation, I'll keep that hidden until you become at least a false immortal. You're my third disciple. If you perform well, you will learn when you reach the false immortal realm. For now, I will be teaching you the basics of cultivation and help guide you. Any questions?" she said nonchalantly.
Luo Yunxi has long glowing black hair and striking purple pupils that seem to peer deep into your soul. A face that seemed so perfect that it felt unreal. She wore clothing that seemed to hide most of her figure, but you could still male out the curves behind them. All in all, she was a peerless beauty.
"When did I say I was accepting you as master?" Jiang Tianming asked with a bit of caution in his voice.
Luo Yunxi was caught completely off guard by his response. She tilted her head and looked at the child in front of her with a look like he said something incomprehensible. She then threw her head back and let out a loud and unrestrained laughter.
"Haha, interesting, you're the first person to deny becoming disciple. Almost everyone wants me to become their master, even cultivators at the same realm do. Even though you did not outright reject me, it was basic just a nicer way of saying it."
Luo Yunxi calmed down a bit before saying, "Well I am not forcing you to become my disciple, but if anyone else was in your position they would accept my offer, because, one, I'm one of the strongest being in this world, and two, you won't get a better opportunity than this because you are basically one of my brother descendants, which means, you're basically from the same lineage as me so I'm the one that can maximize your bloodline talent so that you can make the best foundation that you could possible make."
While saying this, she had a confident look on her face that would make anyone with a low level of willpower agree almost immediately. Even Jiang Tianming was nearly swayed by this proposal, but he then got rid of such thoughts. First of all, he didn't know who she was or what she was capable of doing. Secondly, it seems that she is somewhat related to the system, and if she was planning to take over his body, she probably already had done the preparations before when the system was bound to him.
But at the same time, if what she said was true, then this was an opportunity that he couldn't pass up.
