Annabel, still sitting on the bed and was looking at Rose in a pitiful way, she moved closer to Rose and started to caress Rose's hair like that of a baby, trying to calm her down and stop her from crying.
"Shhhhhhh. What are you doing to yourself now? Don't cry, okay? Nothing had happened to him yet and remember I promised you that I will do my best to save him right?" Annabel said but didn't get any response from Rose as she raised Rose's head and placed it on her thigh, still trying to calm Rose down. As Rose laid on the bed and placed her head on Annabel's thigh, she continued to sob.
