Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Moon of the South

Silver Abuevo is an ordinary-looking girl, her height is average, her looks are average and most importantly she is poor, the only thing she is an advantage and the only talent she had is that she is very UNLUCKY! That's why on her way home from work in the dark alley of the neighborhood one chilly night, She had a faithful encounter, she was shot to death. It was a robber.

Silver tried to fight with him and kick his-- well manhood tried her luck to escape so she...was shot to death.

Silver never even had a boyfriend yet, she believes it was too early for that cause she's only 22 which makes sense but still at her age she...was shot to death. That's why...

"I was sure I died that day..." she murmured. Her brows furrowed in confusion.

"So, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?" she screamed dumbfounded at what she's seeing. She just one day woke up in a very sketchy room with shackles in her arms and a piece of metal wrapped around her neck.

"Running your foul mouth as soon as you woke up? So unbefitting for a lady" she shifted her gaze to the direction where the voice came from and she gasped in awe. There is no reason an average person like her wouldn't admire a rather dazzling creature sitting in front of the mirror beautifying herself. It was a sight to see, a beauty befitting for a goddess. Orange hair like the sunsets at dawn, a pair of golden eyes that shine like the sun, plump pink lips, and a rather perfect body in a very sexy dress too. She thought she was lucky to see such as soon as she woke up...

"Dress yourself up, we're getting auctioned. Those dirty illegal pimps might come and harass you if you don't"

Or maybe she's still not lucky after all.

She quickly located the part where she has shot and the wound completely vanished. Her mind is puzzled, everything is not right and she was certain she died that night. And it snaps her back into reality-

"Ah"

She was lost in thought for a moment because of how weird things are happening but how can she forget that night? Her hands starts to tremble and she started to tear up, all the feelings she felt that night rushed into her like thunder. She remembered how cold the night are, how the pain won't subdue, and how her desperate cry for help wasn't heard. It was the very first time she cried, the first time she felt she needed someone but it was too late-

For someone who witnessed the murder of her parents at the age of 8, someone who was beaten until almost die every day by the people who were supposed to take care of her at an orphanage, and someone who work in an abusive company where you have to work every day like slaves. The pain of a gunshot was nothing_she never cried once, she never even dreamt of being happy once, and she never felt the need to be above average. She's empty her whole life so why?

Why did she cry desperately that night? Why did she call for help? Why is a very last bit of her strength she tried to reach the light? the little warmth she felt that cold night? Why d---

Suddenly she was brought back into reality when someone gently patted her shoulder.

"It's gonna be fine--they won't touch you. I turned myself in with that condition..." I looked up at her with damped eyes and she gives me a very gentle smile, she was shining. It was reassuring, It feel like a light sprouted in a very dark room_ Light?

It snapped! She finally remembered, that during her life and death battle a warm light flashed in front of her. It was so warm that she can't help but be mesmerized by it before it completely swallowed her.

"Can I ask your name?" Silver asks finally having an idea of what is happening. The young lady turned at her...

"Me? It's Alkina, Alkina Andrè...The Moon of the South"
