Glenn was facing Gregory who was shocked by the news. The gardener fell to his knees and shook his head. "Impossible."
"No," Glenn said. "He was a hero. He jumped in the fight and saved me."
"Merlin…" Gregor trailed off. "He died?"
Glenn, John, and Gina looked at each other. They were about to speak when Gregory interrupted them. "I know his true identity. He has been living here as Lord Clayton and ruled the kingdom ever since."
"So you mean you knew that he was a Magus?" Glenn asked. "A Magus is a human blessed with great amount of magic."
"He told me about stories of his adventures and him being a Magus, yes," Gregory said. "But I never would've imagined him dying. It feels eerie."
"Don't feel like that because he's not dead yet," Glenn said. "The Merlin that came here was–"
"A clone."
