Fwoosh!
Boom!
Spark. Spark. Flash!
Glenn watched as the once powerless tribesmen of Macatan Tribe enjoy their newfound powers. A lot of them gained skills after Glenn casted his giant Tree of Life skill.
"What happened here?" Glenn asked, eyes twitching after he saw the chaos the newfound powers caused.
"He's awake!" Lapis yelled. "One of our heroes is awake!"
Immediately, the Tribesmen stopped from their activities and ran towards the front of the town hall where Glenn was at.
"Hero Glenn, we thank you for your help!" the entire tribesmen of Macatan bowed to Glenn. "We shall forever be grateful for your help, Hero Glenn. As a token of our undying gratitude, we built the Trinity Heroes Statue right in front of the town hall. Unveil!"
A large blanket was pulled off of a stone statue of Glenn, John, and Gina. The statue was three times the size of them and it was made of stone and embellished with gold and gems.
"What is happening?" Glenn asked. "I was just sleeping and then there's this. What?"
"We need to talk about it later," Gina said.
"That is right, Hero Gina," Lapis said. "Everyone, prepare for a feast! This is the Trinity Heroes Day for our tribe and we shall celebrate this until the future generations!"
–
Lapis led the three inside the town hall where the conference room was. After seeing this, Glenn knew that the Macatan Tribe did not have this originally and was made to built by Gina or John.
"Can someone explain anything to me?" Glenn asked. "How did the Tree of Life, a purification and healing skill, grant them the abilities?"
"There are three factors that were considered," John said. "When you fell asleep, Gina and I started investigating. I once worked as a criminal investigator, so these things are easier for me to figure out."
"Alright, so what did you find, investigator?" Glenn asked.
"First factor was the forest that this tribe is on," John said. "There are magical properties in the trees, soil, water, and even air that we breath. Your meditation must've gathered these magic particles and then when you cast your skill, you poured the magic.
"The second one was the compound skill you and Gina created," John said. "I might not be a pro player like either of you, but I'm still a veteran. Compound skills are a mix of two or more skills and some of then would have unprecedented effects. Burble Fangs vs Magica Automata Game 3."
"Burble Fangs vs Magica Automata Game 3," Glenn sighed. "The infamous match where the Burble Fangs cancelled each other's skills out when they performed the compound skill. This caused them their defeat and their shot at the semi-finals, yes."
"And the last one," John sighed. "You yourself, Glenn."
Glenn looked up to face John who had a serious expression. "Why me?"
"You created something that none of us saw before," John said. "Your magic was incredibly powerful that I don't think the first two factors were that much important in this scenario."
"John, you're scaring me," Glenn chuckled.
"You possess the power of a Dark Lord's General," Gina said. "And we saw it."
"Saw?" Glenn tilted his head to the side. "What did you see?"
Gina and John looked at each other before bringing Glenn to a mirror. John took Glenn's shirt off to which the latter joked, "Sorry, my friend but I am not interested."
Gina brought a smaller mirror and raised it so Glenn can look at the mirror behind him. "Look at this."
Glenn was still chuckling until his eyes landed on the small mirror. It was then that his world froze and sweat poured from his entire body.
"What is that?" Glenn asked in horror. "I'm not joking. Why do I have that?"
"If we know the answer, we would've told you long ago," Gina said. "But we don't, so you just have to be very careful about your move."
Glenn nodded slowly. "I can't believe it. Why do I have one of the Dark Lord's General's symbols?"
The ground shook, causing them to pause. Lapis entered the room in panic. "Heroes, something reached the forest."
"What is it?" Gina asked. They have already covered the symbol behind Glenn.
"A huge monster," Lapis replied. "And it's burning the forest down."
The three of them immediately responded to where the monster was at. Some of the trained tribesmen were trying to ward it off, but they were no use. The monster was too strong.
It was a huge boar-like creature without a neck and had an almost deer-like head. Its limbs were so fat that each one of them was attached to the side of their bodies like how the legs of a spider was attached to it.
The skin of the monster was a dark red color and it had a texture of an elastic rubber, like a balloon.
"A high grade Red Cervusus," Glenn sighed. "How did that thing even get here?"
"You know what that is?" Lapis asked. "Do you know if you can defeat it?"
"Of course," Glenn said. "They're not that much of a threat for us. Switch–"
Right before Glenn could completely cast his skill, it felt like his brain palpitated. His vision instantly became hazy and his head felt like it was being split in half.
"What's happening, Glenn?" Gina ran up to Glenn when the latter fell to his knees. "What's wrong with you?"
A jacket was draped over Glenn's back when John saw the light from the symbol piercing through Glenn's clothes. "He's not feeling well right now. Stop him from activating his skill."
John jumped off of the tree that they were on and ran towards the monster. He unsheathed his dagger and with a flash, he took down the Red Cervusus by splitting it in half.
John clenched his fists. "Glenn. Why do you have that symbol?"
In a far town from the Tribe of Macatan, a man sat on top of a bell tower. He was humming to himself as he watched chaos unveiled on the town, leaving no one alive.
"Oh?" the man smirked. "A power has been activated in the East. One of my brothers? Oh, it's not one of us. But why do we have the same power? Might as well take a quick look."
