Non-close combat Adventurers do not possess high basic attack output. As such, they aren't required to perform such actions. But with enough power gap, Gina was able to plunge Diana to the ground.
Crack!
A hole was punched in the ground using Diana's body after Gina slammed her staff right on top of the former's chest. She stood in front of the Bow Hunter and smirked. "Power is power."
"B-But how?" Diana asked in shock. "An enchanter was able to deal a high damage basic attack by swinging her staff. Is that even possible?"
"It is when you're Level 90," Gina said.
Diana sighed as she slowly closed her eyes. The woman had accepted her fate and her defeat in the hands of Gina. She smiled before saying, "The Deah Lord's arena will be ruthless. I was confident that he would annihilate Galaron, but now I don't think he can ever come across you."
"You know the location of the Death Lord's arena?" Glenn asked. He kneeled beside Diana and gave her a gentle heal, just so she wouldn't perish. "Tell me where it is."
"I am forbidden to speak about it," Diana said. "And since I was defeated, the curse that he put inside me would activate and I will die."
"That's…" Glenn trailed off. "I'm sorry to hear that. But can you at least give us a clue on how to get there?"
Diana was silent for a moment. A bright dark purple light ignited from her chest, showing a skull symbol with a sword passing through it. "Where the light meets the darkness, that's the only time for the uninvited to come. When the darkness and light fight for dominance, you must also travel through the borders of your consciousness."
"What?" Glenn asked. "You want us to almost die at a twilight?"
Diana's body slowly vanished. She shook her head and smirked. "You must force yourself in but you only have five minutes to get inside or else the arena will go on until you're the one who's invited."
"Force to enter the arena when twilight comes, alright," Glenn nodded. He ha ceased his healing on Diana when the latter's lower body had began to disintegrate.
"I only wished to see the rain of stars," Diana raised her hand as if she was reaching for the sky. "My bow gave me that chance and the Death Lord gave me the power to do so."
"Goodbye, Diana," Gina said. "Thank you."
"Goodbye," Diana closed her eyes as she slowly vanished from existence. There was only silence for a couple of seconds, until Glenn stood and clenched his fists. "Now that we have at least an idea on what would happen, let's return to Galaron. The third wave will start soon, and this will be by far the hardest."
"I already told Melissa to immediately garrison the torches once the rain of flaming arrows would stop," John said. "But I will still go there ahead of you just to check on everything."
"Yeah, do that," Glenn agreed. "Gina and I will be behind you."
With a nod, John nodded and vanished in thin air. He used his speed to get back to Galaron in short amount of time. Unlike the rain of flaming arrows, this wave wouldn't be avoided with entering the house or any establishment. They have to defend.
"Excuse me, young woman," an elderly woman approachef Gina. "You defeated the Dark Lord's General easily. As the leader of this tribe, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We couldn't offer much, but here are our ancient scrolls. We have our own copy and we want you to have this."
Glenn and Gina looked at each other. They thought that Diana was a General of the Dark Lord, when in fact she wasn't even near their level. Even the weakest of the Generals was at least five times stronger than her.
"Thank you, but that woman wasn't a General. She was on the lower ranks of the Dark Lord's army, under the Death Lord," Gina bowed and denied the scrolls received the scrolls. "The Death Lord and Dark Lord share the same titles, but they're not the same people.
"While the Death Lord is the face of the Four Waves of Disasters, they only hold a little power compared to the higher ranks of the army. The Dark Lord is the overseer of the entire darkness in these lands, and not just death, chaos, and plague," Gina continued. Glenn watched in awe, now appreciating how Gina was well versed in this topic. She was, after all, a pro player like he was.
"I must've confused the two," the elderly woman blushed in embarrassment. She cleared her throat, but still handed Gina the scrolls. "Nevertheless, you still saved us from her. Without you, she would've used our temple for her selfish goals and as one of the Tribe Leaders of the Vassos Tribe, I cannti allow that."
Gina had no choice but to accept the scrolls that were offered to her. She was afraid that the more she refused, the more time it would take for them to be delayed.
"Thank you, but I must go now," Gina said. "Our town needs our help."
Glenn waited for her to come and she did. They leaped off of the mountain as Gina created platforms for them to step on as they went down. They didn't have to worry about John because he was equipped with skills that allowed him to glide in the skies like he was a flying squirrel.
"I don't think I have seen that symbol get activated before," Gina said to Glenn. "They have that on parts of their bodies, but I haven't seen it glow nor consume its bearer."
"That's because we didn't need to use the symbol in the game," Glenn said. "When we fight the members of the Dark Lord's army, we would decrease their HP to zero, which means we basically killy them.
"Diana was still alive, but she was defeated so the symbol activated," Glenn said. "My theory is still, however, not supported by any other evidences, but it's safe to say that it's the closest to the truth."
"Wow," Gina smirked. "The Legendary Healer really has a mind that's worth the victory for the first cup."
"A victory that's built on lies," Glenn sighed. He opened his mouth and was about to say more when the horn had sounded.
"The third wave," Gina whispered. "But we're still so far."
"Are the lights on?" Glenn asked. He jumped to a tree and saw that the torches were still not lit up. "What is John doing?"
"Is they okay?" Gina asked. "Why aren't they lighting the torches."
"Something's wrong," Glenn muttered. "I think the summoner is inside."
"What?" Gina gasped. "What do you mean?"
Sure enough, Glenn's instinct was right. The creatures that would eat all flesh in its path was unleashed, and it was from inside the wall of the town.
