The true Merlin was a short boy with a long blonde hair that was slicked back. Unlike the tales outside of in God's Omen, Merlin was not an old man but he looked like a boy that just reached old teens.
He wore loose pants as well as a loose shirt that had long loose sleeves. His shirt would have a slit in the middle which would span all the way down to his navel area. He wore wooden sandals instead of boots but the wooden sandals had painting on them like it was designed by a child.
"Merlin was a Magus who had a condition of looking young," Glenn said. "In God's Omen's lore, he reached his full potential at the age of seventeen and he didn't age from then onward. He just kept looking like that which included a part of his personality. It was like he was stuck in a stone, preserved just like what his magic can do."
