"I–I–I... I don't understand why so suddenly, Sir Jircniv..." Hiro mumbled, surprised by the cold-blooded emperor's sudden burst of emotions.
"Y–Your majesty, is everything alright?" Nimble asked his lord, concerned.
Jircniv wasn't the type of Emperor to publicly show his emotions. Everywhere he'd go, he would never forget to wear that perfectly cold poker face, affirming his control and renewing his authority as the indisputable Emperor of Baharuth.
However, lately, Jircniv was victim of abnormal stress, led by the capture and revent death of the Death Knight. At first, he was opposed to capturing that abomination, but since Fluder insisted that it'd be a catalyst to greater magical discoveries, he couldn't say no. But now that the subject is dead, the scent of its dead corpse will surely attract a swarm– an unwanted swarm.
"Lately, the situation with Re-Estize have gone worse than before... GUH! Those bastards at the Slane Theocracy really played their cards well I lift my hat to them... At first, I didn't want Fluder to bring in that Death Knight, and now that it's dead... its summoner will be paying a visit to my Baharuth and it'll not be pretty... Who knows what a being of such power is capable of..." Jircniv explained. Sweat running down his body, the urge to hold his hair was immaculate but he knew that if he did so then he'd reveal the hair loss to the public, something no one other than him should know of.
"Your majesty. We had no problem fending off that first Death Knight. With the help of the Magic Ministry, we could handle a few more of them if this summoner was to attack us." Baziwood remarked.
Jircniv just held his aching head, then he mumbled, "Probably... But we lack information so we cannot determine the power of this sudden adversary. Surely those Death Knights take a toll on his magic supply to summon, maybe one every three days– No, one every 30 hours, that's more cautious. He can't do it everything, that'll be ridiculously dangerous....."
Jircniv was talking to himself loudly, raising even more questions about his sanity. In the end, he was taken to his apartments by the butlers for a quick debriefing while everyone was dismissed.
Either way, Hiro was to show at the front lines if a war was to erupt, since he was involved with the confidential subject of the Death Knight, meanwhile he would still be benefiting from Jircniv's support. Of course a gold-ranked adventurer at the start was a pride for the Empire and was to be nurtured as greatly as possible to ultimately create a adamantite adventurer.
Therefore, Hiro was assigned quests that were a bit more complicated for his rank. Slowly but surely, he'd build his reputation and gain more fame as one of the most powerful and reliable adventurers out there.
X―x―X—Some Time Later...—X―x―X
It has being quite some time now that has passed ever since the audience with Jircniv.
Hiro relentlessly climbed the ladder of fame and reached the Adamantite Rank faster than anyone on the planet. The former world record for reaching Adamantite the fastest was set by the Blue Rose at only 4 Years on service, shattered by Hiro's month and a half of doing the hardest missions and contracts available, growing up to be an icon that spreads fear amongst the evil and justice for the population.
And now, Hiro was completing a mission, to defeat the Snow Dragon who's been very daring as he approached the Empire's borders a bit too much than usual. The mission was simple, to scare the dragon away but Hiro wanted to fight the beast.
Now, he was fully equipped with dark armor that ressembled Momon's. Hiro was known for fighting with a deadly katana, a creation of his own that had power ressembling a World-Class Item. His entire armor was strong enough to be considered World-Class or even World Champion-Class.
"It's only you and me now dragon." Hiro said, pointing his dark katana towards the dragon. The first dragon, whom was sent from the Dragon Lord to investigate this special adventurer, was feeling amused and overjoyed, having found his target without much effort.
"Ohohoho... It's gonna be a BLAST!!" The enthusiastic, and overly prideful dragon, roared.
Standing at the peak of a frosty mountain, the dragon thought Hiro had difficulty handling the height and the pressure. For an even more unfair advantage, the dragon flew up in the air and blasted his draconic wings at full capacity, blowing the coldest wind –even frostier than Frost Pain itself– towards Hiro.
The courageous adventurer took the wind head on. Inserting his feet deep inside the powdered snow and lifting his hands to deflect the wind using aerodynamics. The Frost Dragon was impressed by Hiro's countermeasure against his Dragon Wind.
"Hohoho! Have you ever fought one of my kind, human? It makes me almost wanna spare you." The dragon speaks with his deep cold voice.
"I haven't. In fact, you'll be the first dragon I ever slay in my career!" Hiro shouts, his voice sounding metallic and echoing as it resonates through his helmet.
"I see... What a waste, to slaughter you and take that talent for nothing... Then, atleast entertain me a bit, human." The dragon roared once again.
"Likewise, lizard." This insult made the dragon frown in anger. It charged towards Hiro while blowing a cold-freezing breath that would give any adventurer no matter the rank or strength, instant frostbite.
Despite his power, Hiro learnt that his full strength was something unbalanced for this world and he preferred more ingenious methods to reach his objective. If he wanted to stand a chance against this dragon, than he'd have to take it by surprise.
" [Hell Flame] !" Hiro casted the strongest fire magic known to this world. It ignited a breeze around him so strong it repelled the Frost Breathe and temporarily protected him from this attack.
The dragon shook its head in anonymement, "Son of a...." It cursed.
"Words like those aren't fit to be in a proud dragon's mouth, ain't it, you gargantuan lizard."
That sentence wasn't pronounced by Hiro but rather someone as equally important as him.
"...And who might you be." The dragon asked.
"I will not say my name, nor involve myself before this brave adventurer gives me permission to participate in his contract." The mysterious adventurer said.
Hiro looked at him, then replied, "Not a single problem in the world, Momon." Hiro said.
"Then, it's decided." Momon then grabs his two long blades and prepares to assist Hiro in his Dragon-Slaying mission.
A glorious battle was about to take place, with two armored adventurers... two masked adventurers... two adventurers who waited for this face off a long time now.
