Chapter 197 - CH. 191: The Molten One

6th Floor Of Nazarick– Underground Lake.

It didn't take much this time for the Boss to appear, as towering a billion meters high up in the sky, was an ambulant mountain we could only describe as Gargantuan.

*BAM* *BAM* Was the sound of its enormous feet that crushed the ground beneath with each step.

"There he is." Hiro exclaims.

Termite, Roberdyck and Imina were most fascinated by the monster's incredible height and intimidating presence. But for Albedo, she was accustomed to overseeing Gargantua; He's an ultra-large stone golem, with a height of over 30 meters high. A two-legged colossus that seemed to be carved out of stone. Its arms and legs are chunky, so it may look cute if one disregards its size. While so, its round eye sockets and chest are glowing with red lines that permeate from its chest, like a heart.

Hiro's eyes locked onto the immense form of Gargantua, whose towering, 30-meter stone body was nearly indistinguishable from the mountains themselves. The Foresight members stood back in a secure spot, fear and anticipation on their faces. Hiro's cold expression showed no hesitation—he was ready for battle.

"Let me help you in this fight, my Lord." Albedo demands.

But even so, she knew Hido wasn't going to let her participate. And that's exactly what happened. Albeit, she admired that side of him, his protectiveness, it's what made her truly love him... But in the end, we all know that love is merely an illusion.

With a deafening roar, Gargantua's eyes, glowing like molten lava, fixed on Hiro. It was a cry filled with rage, but not words. The giant golem seemed incapable of speech, communicating only through its massive movements and earth-shattering bellows. The mountains surrounding the lake trembled as the golem lumbered forward, each step sending ripples through the lake's surface. Hiro felt the vibrations beneath his feet as he advanced, the ground shaking from the sheer weight of his opponent.

Without warning, Gargantua ripped an entire mountain peak from its base. The force of the motion created a massive shockwave, sending rocks and debris flying. The giant lifted the mountain high above its head, its colossal stone arms flexing with power, and hurled it with tremendous speed toward Hiro. The mountain sailed through the air like a massive projectile, casting a dark shadow over the battlefield.

Hiro's eyes narrowed. He sprinted forward, lightning-fast, as the mountain peak crashed down. His katana flashed, carving through the air as he leapt from boulder to boulder, dodging the cascading debris. The ground trembled as the peak collided with the shoreline, sending shards of rock and dirt flying in every direction. The impact formed a crater that nearly swallowed the entire edge of the lake, but Hiro had already maneuvered out of harm's way.

He launched himself into the air, a burst of speed propelling him high above the battlefield. With a sharp twist of his body, he landed on Gargantua's arm, his katana igniting with electric energy. The golem roared again, its entire body shaking as it tried to swipe Hiro off. But Hiro was quick; he dashed up the length of Gargantua's arm like a lightning bolt, his feet digging into the rough stone surface as he gained momentum.

"Time to bring you down," Hiro muttered as he approached Gargantua's shoulder. He leapt from the arm and sprinted across the golem's broad chest. With each step, he drove his katana into the stone, leaving trails of electricity that crackled and danced around the massive creature's body. The golem's glowing eyes flared, and it slammed a fist against its own chest, trying to crush Hiro like an insect. The impact sent tremors through its entire body, nearly knocking Hiro off balance.

But Hiro wasn't one to back down. He lunged forward, racing up to Gargantua's head, where its two glowing eyes focused like twin suns. His target was clear—without sight, the golem would lose its edge. He slashed his katana down on the first eye, the blade slicing through the hardened stone and emitting a burst of energy. The eye shattered, sending a blinding flash across the battlefield as shards of stone and molten energy burst outwards.

Gargantua let out a howl of agony, its massive hands clawing at its face. Hiro wasted no time, darting over to the second eye. The golem swung at him wildly, but its attack was uncoordinated, its aim thrown off by the pain and blindness of its ruined eye. Hiro nimbly dodged each swipe, the wind from the giant's fists nearly knocking him off, but he held firm, his agility unmatched.

As Hiro leapt into the air again, he angled his katana for the second eye. "Thunderstrike!" he shouted, and the blade surged with electricity. With a powerful thrust, he plunged the katana into Gargantua's remaining eye. The energy discharge was immense, and the golem's roar reached a new pitch. The eye exploded, and molten fragments rained down, illuminating the battlefield.

Blinded and enraged, Gargantua's movements became erratic. It slammed its fists into the ground, creating massive shockwaves that tore through the lake's edge. Mountains quaked, and the shoreline fractured, sending chunks of earth and stone crashing into the water. Hiro was relentless, dodging each attack as he maneuvered around the golem's body.

Gargantua, unable to see, resorted to tearing chunks of the surrounding landscape and launching them blindly into the air. Entire mountain ranges were ripped from their bases and hurled across the battlefield. Hiro vaulted off the falling rocks, his feet moving with precision as he used the airborne debris to his advantage. He bounded higher and higher until he was once again on Gargantua's shoulder.

The giant golem roared and slammed its fists into the earth, summoning massive stone pillars that erupted from the ground like spears. The lake's surface churned, creating waves that crashed against the mountainsides. Hiro knew he needed to act quickly before Gargantua's rampage caused irreversible destruction.

Taking advantage of the giant's blindness, Hiro charged up his katana, the blade glowing with a blue aura. "Electro Nova!" he shouted, plunging his sword into Gargantua's shoulder. The energy discharged, sending electric pulses through the golem's entire form. The stone cracked and shattered beneath the surge of power, and the giant stumbled, nearly falling to its knees. The waves in the lake grew violent, and the mountains around them continued to crumble.

As Gargantua staggered, Hiro seized his moment. He sprinted up to the golem's head and leapt into the air, spinning in a powerful arc. With his katana raised high, he aimed for the golem's crown. "This ends now!" he roared, and brought the blade down with all his strength. The impact sent a shockwave that split the air, shattering the stone at the top of Gargantua's head.

Gargantua stumbled backward, the earth trembling beneath its immense weight. Its movements became sluggish as it tried to regain balance. But Hiro was already on the move again, darting across its body, delivering strike after strike. Each slash of his katana left glowing trails of energy, and each hit sent vibrations through the giant's stone form.

Gargantua, now severely damaged, let out a roar of pure fury. Its body began to tremble, and cracks formed all along its surface, spreading out like veins. Hiro leapt away as the golem's body convulsed, sensing something was about to change. He landed back on the ground, katana at the ready, as Gargantua's roar echoed through the lake.

The giant's hands slammed into the earth again, and this time, it tore up massive boulders from beneath the lakebed. Water surged upward as stone pillars shot from the depths. With a great heave, Gargantua hurled the boulders at Hiro, who dodged with lightning speed. The boulders crashed into the surrounding mountains, shattering them and sending rubble tumbling down in avalanches.

Hiro sprinted forward, using the debris as stepping stones. He leapt from rock to rock, scaling the airborne mountain fragments as he closed the distance between him and the enraged golem. As he reached the top of one of the peaks, he launched himself into the air, katana charged with electric energy. He aimed directly for the center of Gargantua's chest, where the cracks had formed.

"Thunder Burst!" he shouted, and his katana erupted with a surge of power. The blade connected with Gargantua's chest, sending a shockwave of energy that split the stone armor and created a massive explosion of light. The force was enough to knock the golem backward, and the lake's waters surged, forming tidal waves that crashed against the remaining mountains.

But Gargantua wasn't finished. Blind and enraged, it raised its massive arms and slammed them down, causing the lake's waters to rise into the air. Hiro narrowly dodged the surge, jumping from boulder to boulder as the waves crashed down around him. As the water subsided, the golem lifted its arms high, and from the dark sky above, meteors began to fall.

Hiro's eyes widened as the sky lit up. Fiery rocks the size of buildings hurtled toward him, crashing into the lake and exploding on impact. Steam and water erupted, creating a mist that enveloped the battlefield. Hiro's katana crackled with power as he sprinted forward, dodging the fiery projectiles that rained down. He launched himself onto Gargantua's back, racing up its spine as the meteors crashed all around.

"You're not stopping me," Hiro muttered as he drove his katana into the back of Gargantua's head. He released another surge of energy, causing the stone to crack and the giant to stagger. But even as it stumbled, the meteors continued to fall, creating craters and explosions that shook the lake's surface.

Gargantua's rage reached a peak. It slammed its fists into the ground, creating a shockwave that sent Hiro flying backward. He landed hard, skidding across the rocky shoreline, but he quickly got back on his feet. The golem's body trembled, and its stone skin began to glow red, cracks forming all over as steam hissed from within.

The entire lake seemed to boil as Gargantua entered its rage mode. Lava seeped from the cracks in its body, and the temperature around them spiked. The mountains rumbled, and the water in the lake began to evaporate, turning the battlefield into a cauldron of steam and molten rock.

As Gargantua entered his rage mode, a blinding light erupted from the cracks in his stone body, revealing veins of molten lava coursing through his immense form. His eyes blazed a furious crimson as streams of fiery magma spilled out, sizzling upon contact with the cool waters of the underground lake. The entire floor seemed to tremble as his roar resonated, sending shockwaves echoing throughout the cavern.

The golem's rage was unparalleled. With each thunderous slam of his enormous fists, the ground beneath Hiro, Albedo, and the Foresight members split apart. Gargantua's attacks intensified, and the floor fractured, opening up deep ravines that snaked across the entire expanse. The shores of the lake crumbled, and the mountains lining its edges toppled, breaking into colossal chunks as the cavern was torn asunder.

The ground beneath them heaved violently. Hiro's eyes widened as the cracks expanded, the once solid rock beneath their feet now an unstable web of fissures. Water from the lake was drawn into the deep chasms, steam hissing as it touched the molten veins. The entire floor was collapsing.

Hiro shouted, "Get to safety!" as he saw the inevitable. But it was too late. With a final, earth-shattering roar, Gargantua slammed his fists down, creating a massive ravine that spanned the entire floor. The ground gave way, and everything began to crumble. Rocks and debris cascaded into the abyss, and the waters of the lake were pulled down as the floor collapsed into a raging chasm.

The ravine expanded, and the floor split wide open, dragging everything downwards. Hiro felt the ground vanish beneath his feet. Albedo and the Foresight members, despite Hiro's protection, were caught in the catastrophic collapse as the entire floor of Nazarick fell away, plunging them into the abyss below.

They tumbled into the darkness, the world around them consumed by chaos as the entire 6th floor was destroyed. They fell for what felt like an eternity, debris and lava following them, until they emerged on the 7th floor—a vast world of lava and fire.

The transition was instant, and the air turned searing hot. Rivers of molten lava crisscrossed the landscape, and molten geysers erupted all around. The entire floor was a hellish expanse of blazing heat and fire. In the distance, Gargantua's massive form rose again, this time even more terrifying as lava poured from his cracks like rivers of flame.

Hiro landed with a crash, barely managing to stay on his feet as he watched the golem rise once more, its stone body now a living furnace of rage and destruction. The battle wasn't over yet—it had only just begun. The stage was set for an epic showdown in this inferno.
