This notification struck the entire world like lightning. Not just the world of Overgeared but the real world as well, when the executives of the game announced in a broadcast that this event was non intended and the result of a mysterious glitch in the system.
In the Satisfy HQ, S.A. Group, in South Korea, the developers worked tirelessly to find the source of these unexplained glitchs. Even Morpheus, the superintelligence responsible of overseeing Satisfy and eliminating threats found a hard time localizing the virus playing with the game's circuits.
But thankfully, they were able to get a start, it was a virus. A virus in this context is nor a player nor an NPC, in a more sophisticated definition, someone playing the game from somewhere else.
A certain game developer named Jeremy hurried to the Chairman's office to report his discovery. Arriving at the Chairman's office doors, he knocked on the double door before going in.
*Knock knock*
"You may enter."
The doors opened and Jeremy found himself facing the chairman, Lim Cheolho, a very smart and hard-working individual. He is the head of Satisfy's development team and the S.A Group, making it a source of pride for him. This causes a toll on his physique such as constant exhaustion and lack of sleep, but overall, he's pretty enthusiastic about Satisfy.
Jeremy bows out of respect for his superior then explained the subject, "Sir, I think that I've intercepted what's been causing all this mess in the game. It's a virus." Jeremy said.
"A virus? Hm. You do realize that there is no virus capable of surviving Morpheus, Jeremy. It took me years of search and billions of won to create that supercomputer, and you're telling me it's a virus of all things?" Lim responded with slight anger in his voice seeing how his greatest invention was so powerless in eliminating something as futile as a malware virus.
Jeremy adjusts his glasses then continues, "This virus or whatever it can be called is intelligent. It moves throughout the game with its own avatar, interacting with NPCs as well as players in English... We— agreed on the theory that it's that virus that revived Yatan and destroyed the temple... Not even the 7th best player in the game, Yura was able to do anything against it, it defies the logics of the game, as if it had administrator privileges."
Lim sighs as he tries to process what Jeremy is saying, "Sigh... And tell me, are we capable of following its trajectory around the game since it literally plays the game?!" He asked.
"Yes, we can somewhat follow it around. There's a high possibility that it knows we're watching." Jeremy replied.
"That's a good start." Lim said as he got up from his chair, walking towards the window and glazing at the city from the last story of the skyscraper.
"If not even Morpheus can defend us then we'll have to take matter to our own hand." Lim approaches his desk and dials a phone number on the fixed device, "Yes, Chairman?" The voice resonated from the phone.
"Cancel my appointments this afternoon and delay the Satisfy Championship, we've got an intruder messing with the servers." Lim said.
"But sir, every extra day we delay the championship is a few billions wasted, are you sure about that?" The secretary asked.
"If we gives the players infected servers it'll look like we're not giving the participants equal chances. Do you want those Americans thinking w sabotaged the game? Korea already lost the title of best gaming country, if we want to reclaim it we'll have to use our brains." Lim said, getting an affirmation from his secretary before cutting the call.
"Contact Grid and tell him to make equipment strong enough to kill even gods. Tell him he's got a generous budget at his disposal as well as the backup of the Immortal Guild. We're going all out during the event." The chairman said, confidently. To which Jeremy responded with a bow before leaving the office.

Akira logged in once again in Satisfy and was instantaneously greeted by Yatan who awaited his imminent arrival.
"My sincerest greeting my Liege. I hope you enjoyed you sleep and I've come here today with magnificent news." Yatan said as he knelt. Akira told him to get up and got the last bit of information he wanted to hear.
"I was able to localize the dragons' nest. Now all we need to do is to tame them, but I expect a bit of action in the process, they're stubborn and prideful without limits, one or two will have to die, to show the exemple." Yatan explained.
"Don't worry about it. I know just how to dominate those dragons without spilling a single drop of blood." Akira replied with a smile.
Yatan raised a brow in intrigue, "How so, my Liege?" He asked.
"Heh..." Akira snugged, "You see, I have a bit of dragon inside me." Akira said, closing his eyes then reopening them, the black part of his eyes shapeshifted into sharp viper pupils which sent a chill down Yatan's spine.
"B—But when ascending to godhood, you're supposed to give up your old race... How is this possible..." Yatan exclaimed in confusion, as he walked a few steps back and watched Akira's spectacular transformation.
The boy's body got covered in red scale, his body grew larger and larger with every passing second while acquiring monstrous properties. Akira grew to a dragon which had a much bigger size than even an ancient one.
His roar reared throughout the entire biome and was heard from tens of kilometers of distance. Yatan had to admit that he's never seen such a majestic dragon, it was certain that faced with such a specimen, the other dragons would bow without hesitation to their newest master.
But the probability of them being hostile was still present, so he needed to be careful when presented to many individuals of an almost transcending race.
Then, their trip towards the Dragon Nest started.
