''Haah...'' Alexander sat perched on top of a branch with his back against the trunk. 'How long have I been in this world now system?' He thought back to the times he could just wake up and turn on his computer. 'Ahh How I long for something to stave off this boredom!'

'So, a little more than a day and the mission will be complete. Honestly, I can't even believe it's been almost a week already since that ''God'' came and ruined my life. And even worse it's been a whole week and I haven't done anything other than dropping from trees and killing small critters and sometimes a snake or two when clearing a tree to sleep in. Though it's quite helpful in increasing my stats and getting me closer to max level. I just hope it means I get to evolve and not just be stuck at that level for the rest of my life.'
'Hey system show my status screen please.'

'Even my skills have levelled up, I can even notice a difference between before and now. My tree climbing skills have become better than I could have ever even imagined. I can measure my skills in seconds now instead of attempts. After leveling up to Lv2 in tree climbing I've only fallen once when climbing and that is because those damn termites had it out for me!
*Rustle* 'Ohhh is that a new prey I see!'
Looking down Alexander saw an animal he hadn't seen since he'd been to the zoo when he was a child. Back when his parents still loved him, they had taken him to a zoo, and he remembered being completely enamoured by the big scary bears and spent almost the entire day looking at them.
'Though they are a lot smaller in this world. It's barely the size of a golden retriever. In other words, an easy kill.' An evil grin creeped up onto Alexander's face as he prepared to pounce on the little bear.
Seconds later the bear had moved exactly below him and without hesitation Alexander pounced at the helpless animal that hadn't even noticed something approaching it intense speeds. It wasn't until the last moment the bear noticed the flying monkey, but it was already too late as the monkey had already landed on her back and used its claws to shed both sides of her neck. Killing her almost instantly.

'Wow that's a lot of experience it would probably have been super hard to kill in real combat so I'm glad I decided not to test myself. Not that I ever would I mean I'm not suicidal, not yet anyway.'
'Hey system why did that bear give so much experience as compared to the wolf they are about the same size after all with the bear only being a little larger.'
*DING* [IT'S BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE IN BLOODLINE. IN ACTUAL COMBAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN]
But just as Alexander was about to celebrate his findings, he came to rather abrupt stop. He realized that he had been mistaken when he thought bear were smaller in this world. Oh, so mistaken.
''ROAR!!'' Right in front of Alexander was a rather upset mother bear. It wasn't a small bear it was a cub. And what's even worse is that this bear wasn't even the size of a normal bear from earth. No, she was even bigger easily breaking 2 meters without even having to stand on her hind legs!
'Uh-oh!' Was all Alexander could think before snapping out of it and hightailing it out of there. Going in the opposite direction bobbing and weaving in-between the trees looking for the smallest possible gap so the bear wouldn't be able to follow him. And this worked even if it was just slightly.
The bear was right on his heels sometimes choosing to go around the trees and sometimes straight through when they were a little thinner. But this made it so that Alexander could keep an ever-increasing amount of distance between the two.
'What to do, what to do!' Alexander was freaking out and running out of steam quick as he didn't have the best stamina especially when compared to a freaking bear! 'Wait I could do that!' As he was thinking about ways to make it out of here, he came up with a risky idea, but it was all he got.
He turned his body slightly and started going in a different direction luckily still in a different direction than the raging bear. After another minute or so he arrived at the area he was running towards. A giant cliff.
As he made his way up the cliff the most unbelievable thing that could have happened. The bear jumped to reach Alexander. Easily clearing the gap between them and even jumping to around 5 meters. 'What is this since when can bears jump!' Alexander couldn't even believe his eyes. Luckily because of his skill amateur tree climbing skill he could climb without actively thinking about it. and he had made it to 7 meters before the bear could jump so just barely clearing her.
''ROAR!!'' This only proved to piss the bear off more as it kept trying to jump up to get him or perhaps to get the cliff face to collapse as Alexander suspected from the amount of strength that was put behind these crashes against the cliff.

'Okay cool but not the time system!' Alex said so but it clearly was as his climbing became about twice as fast as it was before and made it to the top of the 70-meter cliff in about 5 minutes all the while the bear was still breaking its skull trying to break the cliff face.
''Hah...'' Sitting down to gather his thoughts as he made it out of there, he looked to his left to see a stone about a meter in diameter sitting near him as an idea came to him.
'Could I throw this at her and kill her from here? Well, nothing ventured nothing gained so might as well right. Not like she can hurt me now anyway.'
Alexander slowly got up and looked over the edge to see if the bear was still there and of course the bear was still trying to collapse the entire cliff, so he rolled the stone and with some difficulty aimed the rock towards the bear hoping it would hit.
''BOOM!'' A loud sound came from below and the constant hammering on the cliff finally quieted down leaving nothing but the sounds of birds chirping. Wondering if he managed to kill her. It was at this moment that Alexander decided to never trust in his common sense again and always double check if it's safe to attack from now on.
