Chapter 113 - Hana

After Draco took account of all of his artifacts and scrolls, he had Harry bring everything back to the storage dimension.

The automaton then returned to its bracelet form, and Draco wore it as he turned to leave the room.

Snow still hadn't shown her face, so he would try to win back her good graces later. He also decided to try and learn the Moon Manipulation body art during the night time.

Draco then left the residence, for he had an idea.

He asked a servant to lead him to the palace's dungeon. Draco still remembered the assassin that had attacked him a few nights ago. He wanted to check in on them to see how they were doing.

Not for their own sake, but because Draco had plans for them.

The servant led Draco down the palace corridors and took him down a long and winding staircase.

There were two powered guards stationed at the bottom of the staircase, and they were protecting a large metal door that stood behind them.

Draco showed these guards his royal seal, and he was promptly let into the palace's dungeon.

The dungeon was dark and gloomy, and as Draco walked into the room he was greeted with a long hallway that held cells on either side.

The dungeon smelled abysmal, and Draco scrunched his nose as he looked around.

There was a guard inside of the dungeon who carried a lantern, and he followed Draco as he walked.

The dungeon's cells were blocked off by bars that were clearly not made from a mortal metal. They radiated a strong pressure, evidently intended to keep powered individuals from escaping.

Draco walked through the dungeon as he looked for the female assassin.

He walked past cells filled with various emancipated and unhealthy prisoners. Most of them were of the powered variety, but some looked to be normal humans.

Draco eventually found the assassin in one of the cells towards the end of the dungeon.

The woman was chained to a wall at the back of her cell, and she was bloodied and bruised with several wounds lining her small frame.

She had clearly been interrogated and tortured following her capture.

Before speaking to the woman, Draco told Harry to retrieve the helmet from his dimension that would allow him to detect lies.

A green light flashed within the dark dungeon as a silver helmet appeared in Draco's hands.

Putting the helmet on, Draco felt that it was a tight fit.

Draco then signaled to the guard behind him, prompting the guard to unlock the woman's cell.

After the cell door swung open, Draco walked into it.

The female assassin looked up at Draco as he entered, greeting him with blue eyes that remained vibrant despite the pain she had endured.

Even after all of the torture, she still had her beauty.

Draco greeted the woman, "Good morning. Do you remember me?"

The woman spat to the side, "I take you are here to take your revenge? Well hurry up then, I have been waiting for death."

Draco laughed, "Wow, no need to be so hostile. You're the one that tried to kill me."

The woman shook her head, causing her chains to clink with her movements.

"I was just doing my job." she said.

Draco sighed, "That's why I bear no ill against you."

He continued, "You probably don't know about this since you've been cooped up down here, but I killed the usurper. I was personally responsible for ending his reign, and I hear that Prince Rayad will soon be crowned king of Libya."

The woman looked at Draco with shock written all over her pretty features.

"H-how?! That little boy commanded an army far greater than his brothers." she asked

Draco shrugged, "What's it to you?"

However, when Draco looked at the woman he was surprised to find that she was crying!

"W-wait, what are you crying for?" he asked.

The woman looked up at Draco with her face stained with tears, and a breathtaking smile was on her lips.

"These are tears of joy." she said.

The assassin's eyes held gratitude, and this confused Draco greatly.

'Shouldn't she be upset? I was the reason her ruler was killed.' he wondered.

The woman sniffled, "You don't know this, but the prince was holding my little brother hostage. He used this as leverage against me to get me to eliminate his enemies."

She continued, "Knowing that the bastard boy is dead, I can finally die in peace."

Hearing this, Draco hoped that her little brother wasn't in the palace, for that likely meant he was also dead.

He could also tell that the woman wasn't lying, for his helmet wasn't giving him any indications to the contrary.

"Where was your brother being kept?" Draco asked.

"The boy prince had my brother sent to a different city, and only he knew where he was. Even though I will never see him again, I am still eternally grateful to you."

Draco heaved a sigh of relief, "Never say never." he said.

The woman looked up at him in confusion.

Draco continued, "I can help you find your brother if you'd like. But you would have to pledge your allegiance to me first."

"W-why? Why show such kindness to someone who tried to take your life." the woman asked, not comprehending.

Draco laughed, "How could I ever hate someone so beautiful? Besides, I need to expand my forces. I know that you would serve me well."

The woman blushed when she heard this, she had never been called beautiful before.

"I would be honored, my lord. If you allow me to see my brother again, I will serve you in both mind and body until the day that I die."

Seeing the woman's conviction, Draco nodded his head with a smile.

"Very well." he said, motioning towards the guard behind.

"Set her free." Draco told the guard.

The guard nodded his head. He didn't know what Draco was planning with this prisoner, but he would follow orders even if they didn't make sense.

The guard walked up and unlocked the woman's manacles and chains.

The woman's manacles then dropped to the cell's floor, and she looked ahead at Draco.

Draco approached the woman, offering her a hand to help them up.

The woman grabbed Draco's hand, smiling at him as she stood up.

"My name is Draco, I never asked for yours." Draco said.

"I am Adachi Hana, descended from the great bloodline of Adachi samurai. Please just call me Hana, my lord." Hana replied, bowing at the waist.

Draco smiled at her, "Very well, Hana. Let's get out of here, you look like you need a shower." he laughed.

Hana blushed when she heard this, "I am sorry for my appearance, my lord."

Draco suddenly remembered something, "Right! I almost forgot. Hana, please place a hand on this amulet."

Hana obeyed Draco, placing her tiny hand over Draco's amulet.

When her wounds began to close at a visible speed, Hana's eyes widened in surprise.

'This must be how he was healing that one night.' she thought to herself.

After she was healed, Hana followed Draco out of the cell. Draco led the woman out of the dungeon and up the stairs into the royal palace.

He took Hana back to his residence, and told her that she could claim one of the rooms and use its shower or bath.

After Hana was settled into a room, Draco left to go check in on his troops. He was curious to see how their training was going.

Draco headed towards the training hall, and once he was there he found that his men were doing strength workouts.

The trainer had somehow found a pile of sandbags, and he had placed a sandbag on each of his soldier's backs as they did pushups.

The soldiers struggled as they lifted themselves into the air, and only Hamza looked to be in decent physical shape.

Draco walked up to the pile of sandbags and grabbed a few of them. He went up to Hamza and threw two sandbags onto his back, causing the man to curse as he was pushed down.

"One sandbag is too easy for you!" Draco laughed, turning to leave the room.

The training seemed to be going well, and Draco had high hopes for Hamza in particular.

Draco left the training hall to head towards the laboratory he had found earlier.

Walking into the room, he saw that the scientists were running around the lab like kids in a candy store.

Draco laughed when he saw this, "Having fun in here?" he asked.

Amber turned away from a strange device that held a a glowing cube in the middle of it.

"More than fun! Draco, the facilities here are simply incredible. State of the art would be an understatement." she exclaimed.

Draco nodded his head, "I hope you can find a way to pass the time in here. Identify any equipment you would like me to purchase in the future, I plan on setting up a lab of my own soon."

Amber showed Draco a beaming smile when she heard that.

"What's the budget?" she asked.

"There is no budget." laughed Draco.

After all, he was now so rich he could buy this entire laboratory ten times over.
