Chapter 57 - RKO

The two of them watched each other for several long seconds, neither making a move.

As Draco watched from above he wondered if he should get involved.

'Maybe I should let the two of them fight it out, it's probably better for me if they both kill each other off.' Draco thought, weighing his options.

While Draco was thinking the two men had already launched themselves at each other.

The other man jumped down from his branch, sending a flurry of strikes towards Demetri's position.

Demetri was no weakling though, and he expertly sidestepped and dodged each of the man's strikes. He sent out a few punches of his own, but the man ducked the first one and jumped over the next.

The two seemed to be at an impasse, and Draco couldn't tell which of them currently held the advantage.

They both separated and jumped across to separate branches, and then they began to jump back up the tree.

The two men were both fighting to get the high ground, but in their battle they were getting closer and closer to Draco's position.

They were now only a few branches below Draco, and the other man appeared to have gotten the high-ground advantage on Demetri.

He looked down at Demetri with a murderous expression, perhaps realizing the depths of his strength that rivaled his own.

The man had a grave look on his face, and he suddenly held out his arm in front of him.

He flattened his fist, swinging his arm out as if he was making a chopping motion.

Draco wondered what the man could possibly be doing, but what happened next shocked him.

This was because a nearly invisible flash could be seen, and a sharp gust of what looked like wind came flying from his hand.

Draco didn't know how such a thing was possible, but he did know that the wind was very much real.

Demetri seemed just as surprised as Draco. However, he reacted to this sudden attack with impressive speed and jumped out of the way.

As Demetri leaped up, a wicked gash appeared on the tree branch he was standing on.

The cut seemed to be at least a few inches thick, and Draco could imagine the damage it would've done to a human's bare flesh.

Demetri landed on a branch behind him, "Oh? You have a body art. No wonder you didn't want to cooperate. I imagine you think you can fare for yourself."

The man said nothing though, and he continued to swing his arm towards Demetri.

With each swing a new wind blade flew at Demetri, forcing him to duck the attacks and leap from branch to branch to avoid it.

Demetri took a chance to rush upwards, and the other man saw Demetri's intentions and chased after him. He sent wind blades with a careless attitude, cutting deep gouges in the tree around him.

Every so often a branch would be cut clean off, falling down to the forest floor below.

As Draco watched the fight get closer and closer to him, he saw what Demetri was doing.

'That bastard! He's bringing that crazy f*cker over here!' Draco realized.

Indeed, for Demetri was now just below Draco's position, and the other man was only a short distance across from him.

The wind wielding attacker seemed to not have spotted Draco however, causing Draco to count his blessings.

"Listen! If you keep causing such a commotion the monkey is going to come over here." Demetri shouted, trying to catch his breath from the onslaught of wind attacks.

When the man heard this a grim look appeared on his face, "All the more reason to finish this quickly then." he said.

Draco looked at the man and saw that he was only a few feet off to the side below him. He watched as the man continued his attacks on Demetri, and he saw a splatter of blood splash against a tree as the man finally landed a hit.

Draco saw Demetri holding his arm, and blood stained his sleeve as he continued to dodge the attacks. Seeing this, Draco resolved himself.

'If Demetri gets taken out that man is probably going to find me. It looks like I have no choice.' he thought, preparing himself to join the fight.

The man was currently distracted attacking the nimble Demetri, and it looked like it was taking all of his concentration to send out those blades of wind.

Realizing that it was now or never, Draco got up from his position and leaped towards the man.

Draco flew through the air for a solid few seconds, and in that time the man somehow had sensed Draco's movements!

He snapped his head towards Draco in alarm, and rapidly sent out a wind slash towards Draco's head.

Draco watched as the slash flew towards him, knowing he had no way to dodge.

Draco instinctually moved his head a fraction of an inch to the side, and a thin slice appeared on his cheek.

The rest of the wind blade slammed into the tree truck behind him, and Draco was sure that if he had dodged a split second later his head would no longer be on his body.

The air moving around Draco made his cheek sting, but he didn't falter as he continued on with his trajectory.

Soon, Draco was upon the man's position!

The other man was forced to turn his head to block a sudden stick that was thrown towards him, but he was too slow!

Demetri had taken the chance to throw a long stick at the man while he was distracted, and he threw it like a javelin straight towards the man's vitals.

The man was unable to block the stick in time as it pierced into his gut, the sheer force of the throw sending him stumbling backwards.

Draco took this opportunity to wrap his arms around the man's neck, and as he continued to fall he took the man with him.

To any onlookers, the move was reminiscent of an RKO from the "WW-E" wrestling show.

It's not like Draco intended on doing it, but all of the cards lined up and it just ended up happening.

As Draco held onto the man's neck he barreled down the tree towards the branches below.

The man was hardly able to react as Draco roughly slammed the man's neck down onto a thick tree branch.

A sickening crunch could be heard as the man's neck bent in an unnatural angle.

Draco landed roughly on a branch below the man, but luckily he only bruised his butt from the impact.

He looked up and saw the man slide off of the tree branch, falling below like a bag of bricks.

Draco winced as he saw the man hit several branches on the way down, by the time the man had reached the ground his body was a disfigured and bloody mess.

Draco looked up to see Demetri landing on a branch above him.

The Russian man was laughing heartily, "I feel like I've seen that move before somewhere." he said.
