Chapter 17 - Chapter Seventeen: How Dungeon is Created

The three of them catch their breath. They pass through the yellow lane by sliding themselves on the ground to create a fast movement.

"Is it just me or we really skip a step?" Florian and Taehyun look at Klien. Klien keeps on tilting his head as he was trying to grasp his brain if something really happens. He really thought they won't make, then Florian suggested that they copied what soccers do and slide their body to the ground.

Then they skip a step.

"What do you mean?" Taehyun asked. He does not feel anything like that. The only thing in his head is to pass the yellow lane or he will face something worst.

"I am sure that we could not make it, then when we slide our body. It was like an invisible force pushed us to reach the line," Klien said. He keeps talking and talking about them, skipping a step that someone starts to eavesdrop on them.

A silver-colored eyes glued its eyes to watch the three of them.

"Are we still not there?" Michelle asked, they been walking for hours now and they still did not reach the dungeon. "We aren't yet but as you can tell..." the guard make her look at her arms. Her body starts to emit energy that surrounds her body.

The energy protects the body from being sucked up by the dungeon. It was automatically appears to protect the body and the power it holds, but only when the owner of the body learns enough of his or her power for the energy to think that it needed to protect the body and the power at all cost.

Dungeon appears ten years ago. The unknown tragedy that ruins town after town was known to be made by unknown creatures and monster that no one ever encounter. They are belief to be gone for thousands of years, but they suddenly appear and start to create chaos in every town.

That is when a dungeon appears, as creatures and monsters are being killed one by one by every mage who holds and master the most powerful gift. Creatures and monsters decided to create their own world under the surface where human lives.

They use their energy and sacrifice some life to make the dungeon a safe place for them and dangerous enough for a human to get by. As the creatures and monsters learn how different the life is before to now, they start evolving in a rapid growth.

They become bolder and all their cowardliness are gone. The dungeon is not their world anymore. Not a safe place to hide and save energy before attacking a town, but instead it becomes a trap. They use their energy to copy every cave they know, create the highest quality of a crystal, gem, or stones. They even use each other and sacrifice their lives to trap humans.

The adventurer, or more known as hunters, goes inside the dungeon, gets any high quality they can get inside, and kills every creature that gets in their way. As those creatures and monsters that get killed, they were sold in the market as they have the highest quality of fur, meat and any other things that they can get from a monster.

Those traps and hunger that creatures and monsters created to a human brain send satisfaction that it becomes addicting. The more human enters a dungeon, the more the energy the monsters get. The longer they are inside, the stronger the energy they emit, and this energy is what creatures needed to survive.

The monster sucks up the human energy until their body can't move, and the best meal for monsters is their soul. But there are still some cases in where the monsters failed to get what they wanted from a human. And those cases are what happen to Maria and the King that Michelle is looking for right now.

"They saw him near the dungeon. They thought he was just an ordinary old man. Luckily, they reported it to us." Michelle nod her head. She kneels in front of her father as she grabs his face, that is now hugging the bone on his face. The dungeon sucks him dry.

"Where is the dungeon?" Michelle said. She stood up and tell Klien to tell the other guard to carry her father and follow her to go and see the dungeon that she never even once see.

"It was a walk away," the guard said.

"It was alright. We already walk for a long time. A little walk might not hurt that much." The guard nod before leading the way to the dungeon. Michelle looks at Klien and nod at him before following the guard.

"The King needs to be healed right away. Send him to the palace. I'll find a healer. Hurry!" The guard nod their head before they carry the King using the three-person lift. He uses two clones to be beside the King, one is to make sure that the King can safely arrive at the palace and one is to find a healer.

He then followed Michelle and the guard that is guiding her to the dungeon.

"We're here," the guard said before it pushes away some tall grass that blocks the view to see the dungeon. Michelle can feel how her body shivers just by looking at the dungeon. Since her power is just a support, she never really needs to fight or go to anything that requires physical.

But even though she was not given a power to be the lead or a fighter, she still knows how to fight, and knows where to not. It was like an instinct of an animal whispering to them where to go and where to not. And this is one of the places she shouldn't be.

She does not know if she should be amaze on how beautiful the purple color that surrounds the entrance or she should be terrified by how big it is. The bigger the dungeon is, the stronger the monsters live.

"The mass training will start in 3 minutes. Would you like to watch them?" Klien said behind her.

"I have seen the dungeon. We can go back." Klien nod as he held Michelle's hand. "Bring the guard to join the King and the others." Using one of his clone, he uses his power to switch the place of his clone and the guard.

When his clone appears on his side, the guard then appears beside the King. Klien bring back his clone beside the King to be updated. "Let's go," Klien said. When Michelle agreed, he hold both of her hand and switch places to one of his clone who's doing the paperworks in their office.

Michelle looks at the student councils, who will lead the thousands of students. But her eyes drop on a silver hair girl who only looks at a group of men, like her eyes are fixed and the gaze can not be broken.
