"Bams, someone fainted!"
Bambang immediately turned to me when I shouted. He turned his head in the direction I was pointing, and we ran over to a student who had passed out.
"Hey, are you okay?" shouted Bambang confused.
No one was crossing this place but us.
Perhaps, if we waited, another group would reach where we are now.
"Her face is so pale," mumbled Bambang.
"What if we wait for another group to come? I don't understand first aid, what's the matter," I said panicked.
Bambang nodded slowly.
"We don't know when the next group will arrive! It could have taken them a long time to come!" said Bambang.
"If you were strong, just carry it, Bams! We'll take it upstairs! Look at this, according to the map, the third post not far from here," I showed the map that I had been holding, to Bambang. After watching it carefully, Bambang nodded slowly.
"Okay, I'm carrying her, you follow me! Don't miss it!"
I nodded quickly.
Bambang also tried to lift the student and positioned her right on his back.
"Are you sure you're strong enough?"
"Yeah!"
After saying that, Bambang started to walk quickly along the path according to the map. This time, he brought the map because he was walking in front of me.
Deftly, Bambang continued to carry the student across the terrain, which, to be honest, was quite difficult for me personally.
I'm too tired. My legs really can't move anymore.
"Bams!" I called Bambang who was seven meters in front of me.
Bambang then stopped and turned to look at me.
"You go first!" I exclaimed breathlessly.
"We'll take a rest in a minute, Mel!" said
Bambang as he corrected the position of the student in his arms.
"Yeah, but I can't! Really! I'll rest here for a while, you just keep going!"
"No, I accompany you to rest!"
"No, you have to keep going! Poor her! She has to get help quickly! Let me stay here for a while."
"No! I can't leave you here alone!"
"Look, you said we were close, right? You just keep going, so she can get treatment quickly. Later, you come back here, or ask someone here to pick me up!"
Bambang still looks reluctant to leave me. Honestly, I'm scared too, considering it's already late. But ...
"People's lives are at stake, Bams!" I shouted annoyed.
"Okey, but you stay here! Wait for me!"
I nodded quickly, and with a heavy heart, Bambang left me.
Hiking is fun. There are many beautiful scenic spots, and we can meet new friends. However, being alone without a map, and in the middle of the forest like this, was really scary.
I try my best to keep positive thinking. But, as time went on, strange sounds began to appear which immediately made the hairs on my spine goosebumps.
I don't know, it's like an animal sound or something, obviously, it's very scary.
I couldn't take it anymore, I was so scared, so I got up the courage to walk back down the path. Bambang said it's not far away, right? It definitely doesn't matter if I walk alone.
I dragged my feet to keep going until I was faced with two choices. The path in front of me splits into two. This is very frustrating.
After careful consideration, I stepped down the path to the right. All that is good is always on the right. After all, there are a few footprints on it. Maybe it belongs to Bambang and other climbers.
After walking for a while, I found nothing, and it was getting late.
I kept running looking for a place that wasn't too dark. I'm scared!
I stopped at a fairly large tree and sat under it. This is the only place to be seen.
Could I be lost? Stupid, I should have waited there, and Bambang would find me. Why should I go? Why?
I curled up under a tree, closing my eyes and ears. The strange voices continued to sound.
I recited all the prayers I knew, and still, the fear didn't lessen one bit.
Time seemed so long. Until a voice faintly called my name.
No, I still don't dare to open my eyes, what if it's the voice of a ghost who wants to tease me?
"Mel!"
The voice sounded again, this time a little louder than before.
I dared to open my eyes, but when I did, a very blinding light pierced my eyes, so I immediately closed my eyes again.
I screamed in surprise.
"It's me!"
That voice ...
I quickly opened my eyes and snuggled up to hug the man who was squatting in front of me.
"I'm scared," I whispered.
"I'm here! You're safe!" Paijo said while patting my back lightly.
After I regained consciousness, I immediately let go of my arms from him.
"Why are you here?" I asked doubtfully. Possibly, he was a creature disguised as Paijo. Isn't that very possible?
"We were looking for you! We split up, and I happened to find you here! Let's go back! Bambang panicked, he'll going crazy if we didn't find you!" Paijo grumbled.
I nodded slowly. Logically, I'm not sure if spirits like to nag. So, this fix is real Paijo!
Paijo helped me up.
"Are you strong enough to walk?" Paijo asked quietly.
"Yeah!"
Paijo nodded slowly, then led the way. I kept clinging behind him because I was afraid that I would be left behind and separated from him.
"Shit!" Paijo cursed when suddenly the flashlight went out.
"What's wrong?" I asked frantically.
"I forgot to charge it yesterday!"
"Gosh!"
Paijo took a deep breath, then turned to me.
"You bring a flashlight, did you?"
Of course I do!
I crouched down and rummaged through the contents of my bag.
"What the hell! What kind of stuff did you bring? Did you bring skincare? Are you lost your mind? Why are you bringing this?" Paijo pouted while pointing at my little stuffed cow.
Okay, this must be what mom's doing. I took all those worthless things out of my bag, so when did she put them back in?
"Shut up, better you help me to find it!" I protest.
"No! What if I find a treasure?"
I thought hard enough, trying to digest what treasure Paijo meant.
"Polka dots!" said Paijo at last.
Damn it! Why does he still remember it? Frustrated, I hit the man's arm quite hard.
"Silly girl!" shrieked Paijo.
I ignored Paijo's words and went back to rummaging through my bag for a flashlight.
"That's why I don't like the girl like you!" said Paijo lightly.
"The girl like me? What do you mean?"
