DIANA'S POV
"Liam, what happened last night? Tell me.." That made me stop from eating when I heard those words from William. He again saw Liam. "It's a long story dad, you'll not enjoy your food if I tell you now." Liam said while looking at him. And, he has that kind of approach towards his dad, huh? Who does he think he is to say those words? William looked at him seriously and started thinking. "From those words, I can say that what happened to you last night is a very long story to tell. Looks like I have to hear it out." He said then drank his coffee. Liam just smiled awkwardly after that. "Why not join our golf later?" William suddenly said. I looked at the both of them as soon as I heard those words. What does he mean? He will allow that bastard join their golf later with his friends? Is he out of his mind? So, I looked at Jarold who's busy eating his breakfast while listening to them. This man as well.. He's just letting his dad show a lot of favor towards Liam without realizing that, Liam could be a big threat for his future property! So, I gave Liam a glare while raising an eye brow towards him. Say no, Liam! You have no right! Don't steal the attention of William towards Jarold! That bonding time is for the both of them, and only them! "Whether you like it or not, you have to come. I want to hear everything." William suddenly said. As soon as I heard those words, I stopped from eating and faced William. I've had enough. "Darling, I think.. You should focus first on your bonding with your batchmates, right? You can talk about that sometime later. So, no need to bring that all up during you golf time." I said while looking at him. Then, William looked at me after that. "I think that's the idea.. I will introduce Jarold and Liam to my batchmates. So, that they will be friends as well with them." He replied. "But.." Before I could say another word, he raised an eye brow towards me. "Is there a problem with that, Diana?" He asked. As soon as I saw him like that, I stopped suggesting because of that. I knew that he will got mad at me if I continue my point. So, I'd rather stop talking than letting him get mad at me. "Ah.. N.. Nothing.. I think that's a good idea, Dear.." I replied after that. He nodded after hearing those words from me. Then, he looked at Jarold and Liam. "So, it's final! You two.. You'll come with me later. I don't want to hear complains anymore." He said. Then, he stood up and went outside of the dining room. The three of us were left on our seats. Then, I looked at Liam after what happened. "If you think that you'll be able to get everything away from Jarold, that's impossible as long as I'm here!" I said. Then, I walked out of the room after that.
LIAM'S POV

I am about to reply from what she said when she went out of the room. I shook my head after that and stopped eating. I lost my appetite already because of her trashy attitude. Why is she so threatened of me? How many times will I tell her that I'm not going to steal anything away from Jarold! I don't have any interests of running the company either. All I want is to enjoy my life and be by Jarold's side no matter what. "Don't mind her.. I agree with Dad, don't worry." Jarold suddenly said while looking at me. So, I took a deep breath after that and smiled at him. I'm still lucky that Jarold is not like that witch! Then, Jarold stood up and looked at me. "Let's go. Dad will be waiting for you. So, you have to get ready now." He said. "How about your food? You'll not finish it?" I asked. "I don't have the appetite already." He replied. Then, he went out of the room. I followed him as well, and I immediately went upstairs to prepare to meet dad's batchmates later on.
JAROLD'S POV
I sat down on the couch while waiting for the both of them come out of their rooms. Right now, I'm ready to face dad's batchmates being proud of what I've achieved. To be honest, I really agree with Mom's opinion about not having Liam during that meet up. Because, what will he tell to them? That he was a naughty boy when he was in Junior High School? That he always gave Dad headaches during those times? That he's still studying a course something related to business to help me while not achieving anything? Will that be the thing that Dad wants? I really don't understand him. Why is he giving a lot of his attention to Liam while I'm here?
Out of nowhere, I saw Mom coming towards me. "Where is that bastard?" She asked. I took a deep breath after what she said. "Will you stop calling him bastard, Ma?" I said while looking at her. "Why? I'm just telling the truth. He's a product of an affair.." She whispered. I just rolled my eyes after that. I don't have time to argue with my mom. I'm getting tired already even though the day is just starting.
"Where's Liam?" Dad suddenly said as he walked down to approach us. Right now, he's wearing a cap, sun glasses, golf player outfit, and a white rubber shoes. I just shrugged after that. So, Dad turned towards my mom. "Diana, call Liam upstairs, tell him that we have to go." He said while looking at her. Mom looked at him with disbelief, as if she really don't want to do what Dad told her. But, she has no choice but to go. So, she went upstairs all the way to Liam's room. So, Dad and I we're left here in the living room while I'm still sitting on the couch. Then, he turned towards me as he sat down on the other couch beside me. "So, how are you, Jarold?" He asked. As soon as I heard him say those words, I looked at him. "Giving my best for the company." I simply replied. He raised an eye brow after what he heard. "Giving your best? So, that's the best you can do?" He said which sounds sarcastic. What does he mean by that? "I.. I'm still learning many things, Dad. Someday, don't worry.. I'll show you what I can do." I replied while looking at him. He just gave me a blank expression and nodded. "I hope so." He replied. Until now, he's doubting about what I can do? I already gave him a lot of things to make him proud. He's still not satisfied with that? He's still doubting my abilities? What does he want from me?
Minutes after, I saw Mom and Liam coming down from his room. When Dad looked at the both of them, he started to clap while shaking his head. "Finally!" He said. Then, he turned to Liam who's already standing beside him wearing his golf attire. Dad looked at him from head to toe. "What took you so long, young man? You've made us wait!" He said while looking at him being irritated. I smirked a bit after that. Yeah, that's it! At least you've experienced to be scolded by him. Liam looked at him. "I apologize for making you wait, I just can't decide what to wear since it's a sudden invitation." He replied. Dad remained silent and nodded after what he heard from him. Then, he walked all the way outside the house. "Let's go.." He said as he stood at the doorway. Without a word, all of us followed him.
As we go outside, we saw the limousine waiting for us. The three of us including Dad entered the car. While, Mom remained inside the house watching us go. The driver closed the door and entered the car. As soon as he sat on the driver's seat, he told us that we're now going. So, he started the engine of the car and we are now heading to the golf course, where we will meet all of Dad's batchmates.
LIAM'S POV
"We're here, Sir." The driver turned towards us when he stopped in front of the golf course. Dad nodded and started to dial something on his phone. "Shirley, prepare the golf cart. We're now here." He said as he call his secretary. Then, hang up the phone. So, we waited for a while inside the limousine with an awkward atmosphere. We're not even talking to each other. Well, I'm used to it already. Because, whenever Dad's around, there's a sudden awkwardness among all of us. I don't know if it's just Dad, or we're just afraid of approaching him. After a while, we saw the golf cart coming towards our car. As soon as it came closer to us, the driver went out of the car and opened the door for us. So, the three of us headed by dad, went out of the car. We saw Shirley riding with the driver inside the golf cart as well. "Good morning, Sir." She said, greeting all of us. Then, she went down from the golf cart and allow us to go in first. As soon as we're all settled, she sat down beside Dad. In front, is the driver, in the middle is Dad and his secretary, while Jarold and I, are here at the back. Then, we all headed to where the meeting place is.
"Shirley, are they all complete?" Dad asked. "Uh.. Yes, sir. Actually, you are the only one left to complete the group." She replied. Dad nodded then turned towards us. "See? That's how important time is." He said while looking at the both of us. I felt ashamed after that. Because, I know that I am the reason why we're late.
As soon as the golf cart stopped and parked in front of those people, I was a bit surprised to see that Dad's batchmates are few. So, I turned towards Jarold and asked, "Is this all of his batchmates?" Jarold just shrugged telling me that he has no idea about it. Dad went down from the golf cart, so we followed as well. Then, his batchmates started to greet him with a smile and a punch line. Which says, "You didn't really change. You're still late with meetings." One of his batchmates said. Dad just laughed. "Hi, William!" I saw a very familiar person coming towards us. Dad was surprised to see him as well. "Oh, I thought you'll not come?" Dad said while shaking hands with him. "Nah, I don't want to waste this opportunity of meeting everyone." He said. I shook my head when I saw him. He's the father of Alexa that I've met last time! Then, he turned towards us. "Oh, Liam! You're here! What a coincidence!" He said while looking at me, smiling. Then, Dad turned towards us and looked at me. "What do you mean, coincidence?" Dad asked then looked back at him. "Well, I actually brought here, Alexa with me. But, I didn't know that you're coming. Good thing that I brought her." He said while looking at me.
Wait.. WHAT?
"Alexa? Your daughter?" Jarold suddenly said. So, I turned towards Jarold. "You knew her?" I asked. "Yeah.. She's...", "Oh, so.. You brought your two sons to have bonding with us, huh." He said. Then, Mr. Jacobs turned towards the girl behind him who wears a golf attire as well. "Alexa! Looks like you're not going to be bored here. You've got company!" He said. So, Alexa stood up with a blank expression while looking at the both of us.
Ugh, this is not good.
JAROLD'S POV
"Alexa? Your daughter?" I suddenly said as soon as I heard the name of his daughter. I knew Mr. Jacobs very well. And, to be honest, I am really mesmerized by the beauty of her one and only daughter, Alexa. From the very first time I saw her, her beauty is a catch! She has a very staright forward attitude, which I like the most. And, yes.. We have met before, but she doesn't know that I have a younger brother. Liam turned towards me. "You knew her?" He asked. "Yeah.. She's...", "Oh, so.. You brought your two sons to have bonding with us, huh." Before I could say another word, Mr. Jacobs said those words. Then, Mr. Jacobs turned towards the girl behind him who wears a golf attire as well. "Alexa! Looks like you're not going to be bored here. You've got company!" He said. So, Alexa stood up with a blank expression while looking at the both of us.
It's her.. It's really her!
