Kora and Scarlet had been in the stairway when the ship flipped. They landed on each other, on the bottom side of steps. Kora had certainly never been here before. There wasn't much they could do in the moment. "Just wait," said Kora loudly, trying to reach over the noise of the storm, which sounded different now that they were upside-down—the wind was sliding around the ship differently.
Scarlet didn't say anything, seemed relaxed.
Kora was relaxed, too.
Mostly.
Had to be.
She was angry, though.
