Chapter 372 - Human Poachers - Part 4

Ricardo led Tiffany to their main village while Chiaki and Elliott disguised behind the scrubs in case something went south. "Lord Notonius! I've captured another outsider." Tiffany's arms were tied by a tight rope that held her captive from inundating the remainder of the inhabitants.

"Just so we're clear, Ricardo. If your chief tries anything funny, I'm searing this rope." Ricardo nodded, consenting to the probable mayhem Tiffany could provoke.

They faced ahead and noticed a woman step forward with a tiger. "I don't understand, Ricardo. I thought you were meant to isolate the outsiders, not bring them to our village. Explain ." She appeared strict and vigorous, holding the spear, "Y-Yes, Olishia. We were. But the isolation room got destroyed, and we didn't have an available cage to set her inside."

Tiffany's eyes tightened onto Olishia and Ferris. She dealt with her irritation, hiding it behind a fierce expression, "I have a question, Scanara people." Olishia permitted her to talk but didn't respond, "What are you hoping to achieve? Hunting outlanders, imprisoning them, and isolating them from the outdoors. What do you gain from it?"

Olishia leaned onto Ferris, folding her arms and setting the spear near her, "It's to keep lunatics like you away from the guiltless. Everyone who sets foot into our territory is considered a convict. Many people have died from strangers like you, hoping to find the greater good or the cherished treasure while our people fought back for survival." Olishia decided to conceal most of their reasonings, but described the necessary statements, "Since Ivione became a manipulated mess, we suffered more at our birth."

She straightened and gradually walked forward, "The Seraphs may seem innocent, but those people don't appear to be who they actually are. They are control freaks, trying to destroy the Scanara Tribe's reputation along with the god of wind. If they want to mess with our deity, we'll mess with them. And we don't want strays like you roaming around our territory before the Seraphs' obliteration."

Olishia finished moving and made a tough stance, "Is that good enough for you, missy?"

Tiffany slightly flailed her palm behind her rear to imply Chiaki and Elliott to stand back no matter what occurs. "Then, remind me. What's the meaning behind the Sanctum Islands chip? I heard it reveals some crucial data, and it just so happens that one of my friends found it."

Olishia's eyes widened. She sweated and suddenly reached for her spear. She stepped forward, tugged back her arm, and launched it at Tiffany.

The spear became enchanted, ready to pierce Tiffany's skull. Surprised about its speed, Tiffany hurriedly untied her arms and enchanted her right forearm and fist. She caught the spear in her hand. Its blade poked at her, only a hair away from killing her.

Olishia seemed anxious, "You know how to use the forbidden techniques?" she inquired as Tiffany dropped the spear beside her feet, "Yeah, so what? Are you planning to throw more spears at me, or tell me what's with that chip?"

"Scanara Tribe! Seize her!" the guards behind Olishia hurried in Tiffany's direction but didn't flinch even a little. She opened her eyes wide and released a relentless vibration that imposed pulses into the Scanara people's heads, causing the earth beneath them to crack. The guards fell one after another and became helpless bodies that couldn't fight back.

Sweating and breathing in shock, Olishia noticed Ferris resting beside her unconsciously and unable to move. "W-What? I-It can't be..." Olishia gulped, barely standing strong after seeing everyone aside from her being spiritually broken. "The forbidden technique of supremacy... This woman... she's a menace to our tribe."

"If you won't speak..." Tiffany walked forward with her ominous stare and swung her arm to the side, "First Ascension; Searing Falcon." Tiffany vanished from Olishia's sight and instantly noticed steam erupting above her head, "Then I'll make you talk." Olishia noticed Tiffany's skin heat up and turn rose, "Burning Talon!" Tiffany pulled back her arm, surrounding it with orange flames that burst backward, mixed with blue fire.

Chiaki observed, and Elliott seemed amazed, "Timothy really learned a lot in the last two years. He's even starting to go beyond our limits." Chiaki exclaimed, observing the battle without looking away.

Tiffany punched forward, flicking her entire arm with a remarkable speed that not even the eye itself could notice. And before even knowing where the attack would land, Olishila already got caught in an invisible explosion of fire that blew her rearward and drove her into the village's walls.

Tiffany popped out on the floor and stood with a mellow expression.

Olishia gradually started standing up and picked up a nearby spear, enchanting it with her aura, "If you think I'll talk that easily, you're wrong. I won't let you get any closer to the Seraphs!"

Tiffany spread her legs and elevated her left arm in front of her. She opened her palm and aimed it at Olishia to deliver a precise attack with her other hand.

"I'm not here to release them," Tiffany's fist trembled, inserting more pressure into it, "I'm here to get some answers." Olishia braced herself for a tough battle, "Then get your answers somewhere else!" she roared like a tiger, darting at Tiffany and speeding toward her with a readied spear.

"Catch this if you can!" Olishia took a long and weighty step forward and planted her foot firmly. She thrust her arm full-throttle in Tiffany's direction while bending her torso inward and tucked her arm behind her back. The spear accelerated, leaving behind a strong wind gust that caused Olishia to jolt slightly skyward.

Tiffany and the spear vanished from Olishia's sight and caused her to shudder when suddenly, Tiffany's silhouette appeared behind her in the air. "You can have it back." Tiffany swung her arm beneath her, igniting the spear she caught, and tossed it next to Olishia's left foot.

Tiffany pulled back her arm and punched while Olishia used that momentum to pull the burning spear from the ground and spun around, enchanting it with an aura, "You can go to hell, lady!" she directed the spear and hoped to pierce Tiffany's heart. However, her foe disappeared from the air and popped out of thin air behind her.

Tiffany saw Olishia's body crash from an unseen force as she fell to the ground. A fist mark developed in Olishia's midriff as the ground underneath her broke into bits. She lost control of her spear and saw it whirl in front of her. She stumbled to the ground, coughing up saliva as she watched the spear plunge toward her face and prepare to drill her skull.

The minute she believed her life would end, the spear froze in the air and didn't fall. Despite remembering Tiffany standing far in the distance behind her, she now witnessed her standing above her, saving her life by catching the spear, "I caught it. Are you happy?"
