Tim and Kou reached the top of the hill without any obstacles. They stopped in front of it and looked. "Damn, they locked the doors. How are we going to get in?" Kou asked. "There's gotta be another entrance. Maybe if-" but he couldn't finish his sentence. He watched Tim kick in the door, revealing the destroyed wall behind.
"There you go." Tim looked at Kou with his arms in his pockets. "Why'd you do that? We could've gone around it. You did destroy the walls."
Tim lowered his foot. "What? I wanted to make a cool entrance, although it would've been cool if somebody was actually here!" Tim angrily called, his voice resounding around the empty building.
"You just wanted to do it because it was fun, didn't you?" Kou wondered, unimpressed. "Yeah. I never kicked down the door before. It looked fun in the movies so I took the opportunity." Kou sighed, grabbed his forehead, and decided to ignore it. "We need to find a passageway that leads down into the cell. It should be around here. It could be-" Just then Tim lifted a hatch. "Found it." Kou became irritated. "Stop doing that!"
Kou ran next to him and looked down into the passageway. Some stairs looped down into the underground. Tim scratched the bottom of his nose with his finger and set foot inside. The moment he entered the stairs he froze and his eyes became squiggly. "Hey, Kou. We got a problem."
Kou looked down at Tim. "What is it?" Kou noticed Tim look from over his shoulder. "It's a dead end. This isn't the place." Both of them were confused. "What? But I saw those two guards dragging Louisa inside. It should be here."
"Hold on." Tim made a fist, and pulled it back, perplexing Kou. "What are you doing?" he asked. Tim rammed his fist into the wall, but nothing happened. All that happened was him trembling for a second. "Are you all right?"
Tim shook his hand, unamused and bored. "Y-Yeah. Didn't hurt a bit." He lied, but deep inside, he knew that it hurt his knuckles. "That hurt like hell..." he whispered.
Kou looked around and seemed helpless. "Damn it! We can't keep on going like this! We need to find Louisa." He called. Tim supported his wrist. "I guess my hand didn't properly heal, even with Ayuka's treatment. I hope that doesn't kick me in the butt after I actually need to fight." He walked back upstairs on the outside and stepped next to Kou. "Kou. When you were up here, did you really see the two guards dragging Louisa inside? What if you didn't actually see what you thought?"
Kou was impatient, worried, and uncomfortable. "I don't know," he was confused too, "they should've gone inside, but most of my time I focused on the battle. I still can't believe you killed that woman."
Tim started becoming displeased with their statements. "How many times do I have to tell you? I did what I had to do." Kou turned, looking Tim directly in the eyes. "Yeah, I know! I just..." He calmed down and lowered his gaze. "I didn't think you'd go that far because of me. I didn't think you'd lose your mind over somebody helpless as me."
Tim watched him. "I just didn't think you saw me like that." The next moment, Tim punched Kou in the face. "Hey! What the hell?! Why'd you do that?!"
Tim grabbed his wrist again, unfazed. "Because I wanted to. Look, forget about that. We came here to find your friend, so we should hurry up and go search for her someplace else." Kou scratched his nose. "I guess. But, I don't know this island as much. We've been here for only a few hours, and it's turning nighttime, slowly."
Tim looked around and spotted a building that was constructed out of metal. "What about that building?" he pointed in the distance. It was the only building that was made out of that material. "I don't know, Tim. I don't think they'd make a secret base that consists of a cell so outstanding in comparison to other buildings."
Tim smirked suspiciously. "I still want to tear it down." His face was blushing from temptation. "Yeah, we're not doing that," Kou claimed with crossed arms. Tim flicked his head to look at him. "Oh, come on! Why not?"
Kou opened his palm, moving it to the side, and spoke out. "Because, if that building is where Louisa is, then we can't endanger her." Kou's explanation didn't suffice with Tim's thoughts. "I guess."
"So, are we going to check it out or not?" Tim nodded, but then scratched the bottom of his nose. He softened his voice, hoping that Kou wouldn't hear him. "I'm still going to tear it down..."
Kou's face flipped to look at him in an instant. His eyes were whitened from anger. He had a red vein popping on the side of his forehead. "We're not doing that!" both of them ran toward the building.
Bruno waited in silence, watching Ralphie who walked in front of Leandre with his arms stuffed in his pockets. He smoked and had a serious face locked on Bruno. "What are you planning? I'm pretty sure that your boss won't be in the best of spirits after he learns that his city hall was destroyed. His hard work gone to waste, what a tragedy." Bruno didn't act much. "Don't worry, Lord Niklas has already been alerted about it. I'm pretty sure he's not going to be happy about it, not at me, nor you." Bruno explained.
Ralphie knew that those would be the consequences. "Well, if he's happy or not, I'm sure that Tim's going to take care of him. He promised this island to return to their home themselves. I wouldn't be afraid about that."
Bruno didn't lower his guard, stepped together, and faced Ralphie head-on. "So, I guess that means you'll try to best me in a duel now, huh?" Bruno wondered, putting his hands in his jacket.
Ralphie reached for his cigarette with his right arm. "Yeah, that's the plan. Then, once I'm done with you here, it's the boss' turn, unless Tim has already kicked his ass by now." Bruno sighed. "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure. Lord Niklas is still around and standing. Your friend's about to face the hardest time of his life. Trust me, Lord Niklas isn't a pushover. He doesn't talk big just because he's confident. He's a warrior and your friend's a loser. Who wins? That's right; the warrior."
Ralphie dropped the cigarette on the floor, stepped on it, and then stepped closer to Bruno. They met themselves head-on. "Is that so? Well, then how about we let them finish, and we focus on our fight, rather?" questioned Ralphie. "I'd like that idea." Both of them nearly touched their foreheads, but then both reacted out of the instance, kicking their legs forward, colliding with them. That was the sign for the duel to begin.
Tim and Kou reached the building and stopped in front, looking up at it. "This could be the cell room. Let's just hope that there's not another liar inside, like Harry."
Tim didn't miss that and looked at Kou. "What? A liar? What are you talking about?" Tim wondered, and that's when Kou awoke. "I... Um... Well... Harry's real name is Kuro. He's an undercover agent from the WPDA. That's what that woman told us." As he explained, Tim's face nearly rammed into Kou's. His eyes were locked onto his, staring at them. "Why didn't you tell us that before?!"
Kou backed away, spreading his arms and legs in surprise. "I'm sorry! I forgot! I was kind of out of it!" he called. "How could you forget something that significant?!" Kou made an awkward smile. "S-Sorry?"
Tim stepped away and looked into the building."Guess I can't blame you. Whatever, I'm sure others have it under control. Let's see if your friend's in there." They sprinted for the door.
